Considering his agent, Jimmy Button, ripped me a new one last week for stating this was going to be announced in the next week or two...I find the quick timing of this quite entertaining.

Yes, it's a Supercross-only contract, for now.

There was speculation as to whether Kenny would come back from WSX and re-sign with HRC for '23.

Does this mean there's no space for Kenny on HRC at all now?

That’s a shame you got static ML. Thanks for bringing us the news. I feel like it’s a sneaky good signing for HRC. Hope Colt has a great season and turns it into a long term deal.

So I'm guessing Kenny is either going to ride his WSX bike and pit out of the firepower truck for SX or simply not ride at all this season?

Firepower Honda on the US side has too many conflicting sponsor deals and they don't have the funding to do Kenny unless he rides for dirt cheap. It's rumored that his Honda re-up offer for 2023 had been dropped to 750k a year.

That’s good for colt. Know he was hoping to land at Husky before the season but this HRC deal is great. Good job on this ML and screw the agents. This sport needs more of the contract stuff out there. Just like the NFL it gets reported when players go visit other teams during free agency or have contract offers on the table.

$400-500k for 2 races vs $750k for 17, I can see why he would when he still has a chance to get a decent paying ride for the series elsewhere. Or just take the time off.

Pretty likely he'll be with O'Neal for gear.

Wouldn't shock me if he stays with Bell and if maybe Monster stays with him after Star...probably wouldn't cost them much to get another Monster guy under HRC tent with Colt.

i suppose a rookie on the 450cc will not upset the applecart for Sexton, and he can just go out and try win the championship without any intra team distractions. 2023 450 motocross will be a different matter with Jett..
