Maybe J Law has more natural ability than Mike? I don't know what the answer is but that's all I can figure. I know Mike works his azz of for what he does and J Law apparently does not but Jason is the one with the title. Mike is my favorite rider after RC and has been since he turned PRO. I must admit I really don't follow the amatuers much with the exception of what I read in MXA but I do know Mike won so much as an amatuer that it makes me wonder why that hasn't transferred. I truly beleive that with or without RV this would have been Mike's title though.

Ok, your right, everyone was on the podium on a KTM. It wasn't Honda that everyone wanted to go to, it was KTM. My bad.

Fact, until Mike went to KTM very few thought that bike was capeable of jack here in the states. Mike proved the KTM was capeable of getting the job done. He came up short, but truthfully not very many people believed he would do as well as he did on a unproven bike. Did they even have a factory team mx here in the states before Mike joined?

For all those who are talking about mike and tony how can yall talk all this hate for one of the hardest working guys in this sport. what family dont have their up and downs. I have lived with them for 6months and they are some of the most dedicated hard working guys out there. for those of you that are hating on the alessi's you dont know from first hand on what really goes on unless you have spent one on one time with them and have lived with them some. as for matthes why dont you work for a mechanic anymore? is it easier to write talboids about other people?

There's a lot of truth in this thread and even more denial, misdirection and outright guessing.
Some of you have no idea what the fuck you're talking about and you're letting emotions cloud realities....remember, the term "fan" is a contraction of "fanatic"

and "Team Alessi" is FAR from a new idea or concept and has been bounced off teams. OEM's and sponsors for the last few years, it's been in the planning (as either a primary or a back up plan, I don't know) for a long time

Just for the record. Back on page 2 AAA spelled their as "thier." So there is definitely a good chance it is Tony. If only he would spend some of Mike's money on basic GED material!

Mathes can be quoted in this thread as saying Tony called him and Tony said the shock stuff was true...

And if people dislike him so much why does he have a job writing for multiple mags and sites?

You're not making a whole lot of sense... If you are in fact involved in the Alessi camp then maybe you are looking at it the wrong way... Mathes isn't bagging on the kid so much as pointing out some stuff that is holding him back....

Do you think I'm blatantly making this stuff up? And if so, why? What would be gained from this? I've been writing non-stop for 3 years now and still seem to get anyone not named Jason Lawrence on the phone to talk to me, including Mike for a podcast. This was after I wrote a critical thing after one of the Anaheims and Tony called me to discuss it (where he admitted the shock story was true.)
