In his schoolboy division today at Loretta's he had a 59 second lead over 2nd place! Is he gonna be the next big thing for Geico?

geico is gonna have trouble figuring out who to keep! they have a bunch of great riders. everybody under their tent is a bad ass rider.. just watching them practice is probably awesome.

15 maybe 16 years old. Yeah, his dad gets it, and probably helps Eli tremendously with training since he is a badass mountain bike champ and all.

What's amazing to watch with Eli is that the kid maintains the same pace throughout and rides at a high intensity the entire moto, regardless of lead

i think they have a long ways to go for that, and alot of them #1 plates to get. by the way, a win for them is still a win for pro circuit, they build geico honda's engines.

If he has his dad's genetics for endurance, he will be a force. His father was a force on Road bikes also. He was a member of 7/11, which is the team that morphed in to US Postal/Discovery. He has probably built a base like cyclists do and just keep adding to it.

Sorry for being a little behind, but when did Eli move to Honda's? Was it a contingency issue? I figured Suzuki would do what it took to ensure Eli was under their tent when he turned pro.

Yep they started building their own as of this year. And it's showing. Always atleast 3 Geico Honda's at the front in the first few laps. Really dominating PC Kawi apart from CP

the Tomacs don't need the money, just the goodies.

The kid ran second to Barcia for years just like Villopote did to Alessi. But just like our big time pros, he's about 11 months younger.

Eli will run with the big dogs next year........outdoors and then sx......jus like Barcia.

Geico is in to development deals.

Suzuki couldn't afford to run the amateurs anymore. He switched over to Honda about a year ago.

I would be surprised to see Eli in SX. He just might be the first to sign an outdoors only contract. Just my thoughts at the moment.

I think a bale of hay is up to 6.75 .

he wont be able to do what barica did next year with the new rules. unless he races a pro event after LL's, we wont see him till he is 18.

The new rules won't affect him or anyone else that was 16 before the nationals started in May.

He'll be able to do exactly what Barcia did and make his debut at Glen Helen next year.

Getting onto that Geico/FC program as an amateur is like getting the golden ticket. Everyone from it so far has become a real contender...Canard, Wharton, Barcia, soon to be Tomac...do they have anyone lined up after Eli?
