Back in the day, we called it "pre-jumping," and the whip was optional. We'd try to leave the jump face before the crest or lip of the jump and stay low, as if the jump was only half as big. Some guys left the ground so early, they had to throw a tabletop (whip) to clear the top of the jump. James took that to the extreme.
I’m going to need a bag of popcorn for this one.
It should be noted that after viewing the early results that these types of polls aren’t very trustworthy and are often flawed.
Lean over scrub
Bubba scrub
kick-out, never to be seen again
I'm sure David Bailey knows who jojo keller is and he never said you know what.. Jojo keller used to kick everybody's ass with that move back in the 60s/70s/80s whenever he was racing
I’ll just leave this right here. Photo courtesy of Jeffro

Does it again later.
He’d “Scrub” over the top of a jump by pre-jumping it via G-ing Out in a HUGE Sand-Whoop and “scrub” his way over the jump.
The 1st time I saw him do it, he was on a Maico.
He did it on his RC at MXdN or TdN in ‘82…
As for The Modern Scrub? That’s something that was perfected by The 259 on a 125.
James is undeniably the first to begin scrubbing while both wheels were still in contact with the ground, prior to leaving the jump face. A real “scrub”
The pic of JoJo is not a scrub. His front wheel is not even turned in the correct direction. You naturally turn into the direction you scrub, anything else is a whip or butt whip.
