Hey guys, just wondering if anyone else has experienced this? My buddy bought a 21 Crf450r that had 2hrs on it but sat for a year. Tank was full of vpT4. Ecu has had the factory reprogram. Map switch has been changed out with a new one. When riding the bike, sometimes it’s just a hiccup, but other times it bogs til it completely shuts off like it ran out of gas. Immediately will fire back up and ride fine until it randomly does it again. If any one has had this happen or has a direction to go in it would be much appreciated.

I had a ‘17 that cut out on the face of a jump and almost killed me. Problem ended up being a faulty kill button that had a tiny bit of water in it. I had a buddy that was set for a top 5 finish at Loretta’s and had the same thing happen to him on his ‘19. Replace the kill/map switch and see if it solves your problem.

It has already been replaced. Map/kill/tc switch. That was my first thought as well. I know any water in there and weird stuff happens for sure

Debris in the tank occasionally blocking the fuel filter?

Had this happen to a friend of mine. Turned out to be the gas. Swapped it for pump and runs fine now.

Thanks for the reply’s so far guys. TPS would seem like an all the time type thing, but I’ll check it……haven’t pulled the plug as it’s a 2-3hr bike but I will check it……was planning on pulling the fuel pump as some local guys have said they have had issues w their pumps. Seems so weird for low hours but letting gas sit can eat up seals. That will be a good time to try some pump gas as well.

Keefer said he has seen where changing the plug fixed it.
