... but how did Chris Ganz (the photographer that took the pics of the collision) describe the Barcia move?

"It was pretty dirty." That's not how a witness would describe accidental contact. Therefore the impact was on purpose.

None of us here on Vital saw the collision. Chris Ganz saw it.

So either Barcia intentionally hit Ferrandis (and therefore its not a "racing incident") or Chris Ganz is a liar. Which is it? I'd invite anyone replying to this post to start with the words, "Chris Ganz is a liar", if that is your opinion.

Many people think MX should be rougher, like Roller Derby. Apparently the governing body here agrees - is a loss of only 13 points for Barcia really considered a stiff penalty?

what i saw in the video with emotions removed was incidental contact caused by ferrandis that caused barcia to the inside of the track markers, not “cut the track”, and barcia coming back on to the track in as safe a spot as any one of us would have chosen and into the line with his front tire ahead of ferrandis causing ferrandis to exit said line in a most expeditious sort of manner. (yes major run on sentence)

Go Pro's use a wide angle lens which increasingly distorts perspective the closer the viewed subject is to the lens. This is why the contact with Ferrandis doesn't appear to be as egregious as it actually was.

The good news is it seems that the powers that be are finally sick of Barcias shit too. And with the series now merging, the different series excuse won’t be valid. It’s gonna be a long season next year for the 51 team.
