Congrats to Tiga, anyone that can win a moto more than once is an absolute God to me. To win Championships isnt a given and im sure anyone that sits on the starting line of those races will attest to that.

Regarding his father, he no longer trains Tim and that's the case for quite some time now (few years).

Congrats to Tim! If he plays it smart, I think a few more tittles are possible

5 titles at 25 years old. Incredible achievement. I'd say he has a shot at 10+ but he'll probably get bored of it before then.

Yeah 2018 was the year Gajser tired to blow his face off in Italy and had to have his jaw wired shut. Missed at least the first round and was never the same all season. He obviously got better by the end but was behind the 8 ball all year. Last year, both got injured so it still stands that he was Gajser was hurt as well. Of course Gajser had some shit rides but he was never the same after the collerbone only winning one more race, a race Prado should have probably won. If your gonna make a direct comparison you could say Herlings recovers his race speed quicker from injuries better and rides better injured than Gajser.

Gajser is solid, he seems to a genuine dude, and he gets the job done. It can be argued that Herlings is better, but only when he's able to line up and healthy. That means it can be argued that Herlings is just more willing to ride on the edge.

We need to distinguish missed and crashed out. But if you want a comparison, let's do it.

TG243 raced Sardegna less than a week after collarbone broke and operation (bone was completely broken, and not cracked like JH84's shoulder blade). Then following weekends were Teutschenthal, France, Spain, Portugal and Italy, which he all raced with a collarbone that was healing and with a very little practice on a bike. So that's six straight races, but let's say he was recovered on that sixth race. We can also go into discussion over completely broken collarbone and cracked shoulder blade, but let's just look at the picture.

On races JH missed, TG scored 17 points more in Netherlands, 28 points in Czech, which JH missed, and 24 points more in Trentino. So total of 69 points. JH also had more time between races to recover from an injury.

For a comparison, if we take those 5 races where TG was recovering from a collarbone break, he scored 173 points compared to JH's 234. So that is 71 points in favor of JH.

We know that the difference at the end was 20 points so I wouldn't go on a record and say JH beat TG straight on in 2021, when TG lost a lot more points due to broken collarbone than Herlings with a cracked shoulder blade.

As for the 2018, TG broke a few teeth, his jaws... So he was nowhere near competitive.

Yeah, I forgot about that!

No one discredited Herlings' titles. He earned it, and Gajser earned his! The only problem is people saying he never won championship when Herlings was healthy and similar things... Well, we can say also that neither did Herlings when Gajser was healthy!

2018 broken jaw had to have it wired shut.
2021 broke collarbone had control of the series till that happened. Herlings did get hurt and also miss races but the only reason he had a chance was because gasjer was hurt.
