Great to see you guys out and enjoying nature in it!

What was the trick on turning off the alarm? Does it have a battery inside of it?

Replacing the awning isn’t really that hard with a 2 ladders and 2 people. It just slides into a groove. Just make sure you read about how to measure it so you get the correct length.

Reverse and Side camera STOPPED working

Fusebox on seat base.
2016 Mercedes Sunseeker 2400S Forest River

FIRST PICTURE

I think there's a couple that are in the wrong place number 34 and 35 should be reversed. According to the owners manual they are in wrong but don't want to take a chance with a 4 hour drive in a steep canyon EARLY tomorrow. They have been driving it like this. I don't think I switched them, been a long day...
Every other fuse checks out according to the manual PICTURES 2 AND 3

By the way this has nothing to do with my camera issue but I know the previous owners had issues with the fuses and something about the Dev system and the Mercedes dealer charged them A lot of $$ and said they were missing a fuse. I guess the old man was messing with it.

PICTURES 4 AND 5

I can't find this Fuse Block 55/7 for fuse # 38 .
Is this for the camera?

Thanks

Make sure you watch for oil leaks. The oil cooler seals will leak on those 642 motors and if not caught in time I've seen customers smoke their engines. The way the engine Valley drains into the bell housing and the insulated engine under paneling will delay the visual cue of an oil leak and you will not smell it either.. You will have an eventual scr and ad blue pump, level, or heater failure as well, super common. Scr and ad blue stuff is sometimes under emissions warranty but you're getting up there on the time limit with a 2016 and only 11k miles. They'll probably fail out of warranty tbh just based on the low mileage. Unsure i would still buy a sprinter but those are definitely some important issues to keep track of.

Yes fuse 38 is for the camera system looks like but im sure its not a fuse issue. Its most likely the multi function camera module.

Have you tried a "hard reset"? Basically remove negative cable, touch neg cable to positive cable/post then reattach neg cable to neg post. Will drain the caps and if the camera comes back online you either have an issue with the camera module or the comand (radio).

Check wiring for a loose crimp for a bad connection.

Update

OK boys I got a letter of intent to sell to me and I went over a few things with the old guy and Linda who is quite the chatter box but is very nice.
She's a retired librarian and very organized. the RV is an excellent shape almost like new in certain areas and I think we're getting a pretty good deal as this Mercedes RV really is top notch, they don't cut corners!

It's crazy how life works out sometimes we came up here to get out of the heat and spend time with with Kathy and now we are going to own a Mercedes RV...
Who wulda thought! Woohoo

Congrats I think c class motorhomes r so neat, everything about them. My grandparents had 1 in the 70,s I slept above the cab with another 5 yr Dutch girl my grandparents friends kid. I remember I asked her how do you get do tan. She said she puts a light bulb next to her skin and lays out a lot. Funny what you remember from 5 yrs old. But yeah the rear bedroom , the shower and the sound of the side door,so cool.

The biggest improvement you can make if it has not already been done is to toss the mattress out the door at about 70mph. RV mattresses are a special size so get a memory foam mattress off of Amazon and sleep like a baby. The mattresses that come with RV's suck.

This is great advise!! Those mattresses from the factory could not be any worse. Rather sleep on a bed of nails. It was the first thing I tossed on my 5th wheel. Brooklyn bedding makes a ton of different RV size mattresses. They are super comfortable inexpensive and ship to your door. https://rvmattress.com/

Well, as long as we're giving advise on how to make it better. When we had our C class coach, I had a mount made under the rear for an extra battery (actually 2 for us). They come with a shitty little house battery. So when you're out by the lake with no hook ups, and you want to run the heater at night, you can run all night without waking up to frigid temps and dead batteries. Then you don't have to be the a** hole that starts the generator real early in the morning.
Get a marine deep cycle battery. You can just connect it to your existing battery or you can install switches that you're running off of just one or both at the same time.

Thanks TM, actually it's my next purchase as the coach comes equipped with 2 batteries in the stairwell these are what's in it and I plan to replace it with the same.
