Mini O’s info

So I have watched mini o’s on tv for the past two years and I really want to go I just want to know how it all works like how do you qualify and what the general pace of c class is. Watching 250 c at mini o’s and Loretta’s look completely different Loretta’s looks like my local a riders but at mini o’s it looks like I could at least qualify. Any info helps thank you.

C class at mini o’s will still have fast guys who probably raced lorettas c class a few months prior before they are forced to B the following year, but it’s more regional with less guys from other parts of the country showing up. Will probably have multiple divisions due to the amount of sign ups for those classes, which result in heat, LCQ, main format with 2 moto scores being averaged together, but there’s no qualifying just to show up, race and have fun for the week.

Kinda/sorta a related question. Anyone know the total number of racers at the Mini O's each of the last couple of years?

It was something like 10k entries for Supercross/motocross last year. Obviously many race multiple classes though.

To win a class at mini o’s you really have to have some national level speed for your class. If your getting 5th and 6th in 250c locally you will struggle to make the “mains”. With that said you will still get at least two motos per class so it would be a fun experience even if you don’t light the world on fire. Minimum you will race your division heat race(this counts toward overall in mx) and an lcq.

Related question.... I see it advertised they will have water fill and sewer dump Trucks available at Mini-Os... What about Diesel? We have to dry camp which means use my RV generator for 8 days. I would like to know if I can buy diesel from a portable truck to come fill me up. Brining 100 gallons of diesel with me would be extremely tough. Also do anyone know if they sell bags of ice?

The gas station.

Usually the weather is nice so you don’t have to run the AC non stop.

I don't know if they sell diesel, but they do have some sites with hook ups. Probably all gone by now but it's worth a look.

It's a great race and a must do if you can but as others have said their prices could make Racer Productions blush.

Thanks. I am completely aware that I can unhook, unlevel, and move everything aside to that I can drive to gas station. I was just wondering if they sold diesel there. I do plan to turn off the generator off/ on after several hours of use but I wont make it 8 days.

Thats what I was thinking.

I go to Florida every Thanksgiving and One thing that keeps me from going is you can not buy a 1 or 2 day pass you have to buy the whole race pass…..so I dont go.

I dont think they want spectators per se. thats why you have
To buy a whole week.

If you have a few 5-gallon fuel cans there are gas stations 5-10 minutes away if you can get a ride there. They do
have trucks coming around all week for fresh water fill and black tank. No fuel on site and no fuel trucks that I ever saw.

Pickup truck or van and make runs to and from the gas station or store.

TRUE. With all the "27 day diesel reserves" panic in the news I am worried about that too. Maybe I will be stuck in Florida and can't get home.... could be worse things... LOL
