Last chance to donate to help Josiah. He won’t be able to stay for Redbud without some help.

How can a guy finish 11th and have no money to keep racing, this sport is a fucking joke.

Not really the sports fault, he's from the bottom of the world, so he has no base, no place to live, no place to train, no trainer, no mechanic, no parts, no testing, no data. Our NZ dollar is only worth 62 cents US so everything is almost twice the price. To learn the track in 15 mins and race against people that have ridden there most of their lives shows he definitely has the talent. Hopefully Josiah gets to do all 12 rounds 🤞

Yeah i understand the sentiment of what Fanger is posting, but i think Rotaholic makes some fair points on why that isnt that strange. I'm sure a bunch of teams will think about him for '23.

Without SX results, sadly...not many will.

Mitch should try him out, I mean what has he to lose?! As team owner and team manager you want a rider who has grit and fighting spirit. I've met Joshua in Belgium when he was in Everts KTM Youth team. He and his mecanic shared a trailer, as basic as it gets. In his first race me and my brother where laughing with him because he wasn't doing well in Mons/Bergen his results where decent 3-3 but he was 6 seconds a lap slower then Cyril Genot. Few months later he sixth and third in Lommel!! He's a hard working dude, who can still become a champ with the right guidance.
Where is Mitch waiting for, or are Kawasaki and Monster happy with only Jo Shimoda and Seth Hammaker in the field? They're missing McAddoo, Forkner and Jett Reynolds because he was also announced. Or is Hardy Munoz getting more support now, if not than I really don't get it! Going from a bone stoke bike to a PC Bike will boost his confidence and he can most likely break into the top ten (he's already close now) and who knows push himself close towards the top five! Very disappointing to say at least!

With the PC bike he will not have to fight from 20th back each start. For sure would run 8th or higher likely.
Shame MX matters so much less than SX these days.

It’s sad it matters so much less than SX. Especially when for 250 kids SX is only 8-9 races and half of 250 riders crash out and dont even finish all of them compared to 12 nationals with 24 motos

They don’t require a full-in to meet contracts unless they drop one more guy. But with Difrancesco racing the next couple and Reynolds coming back around then too, they’ll have some cushion on that rider minimum.

Hardy just planned to race the first two outdoors anyway since he injured his knee in supercross.
Idk how long is his recovery, it would be nice to see him ride some more outdoors this summer.

There is no money in it , amd it’s not much cheaper than going to the USA , and when was the last time anyone got picked up out of Aussie mx Nationals. Most the quick young aussies go to Europe or the states young now

I spose if the American dream doesn't work out, somebody in aus will notice his results.

Then he can get paid less than he would at mcdonalds to race the aus series.

He was over a minute behind 5 th place.
Since he moved 250 few years ago was reports of bad work ethic on the trainning track and that's why he got dropped.( plus injury poor results)
Hopefully his turned the corner, guess time will tell.

For people knowing Josiah it's clear that he needs people like Stefan and to be more concrete: Harry Everts to kick his ass day in and day out. He showed his best results when he was in their boat and I know they are running a tight ship! They aren't scared to send you away when you are there cutting corners, they booted Hunter Lawrence out their trainings group because he was relaying to much on his talent back at Suzuki. So the fact that Josiah Natzke made such a big progress but didn't continue growing when he didn't worked with Harry Everts anymore makes me believe that he needs someone who gives him the needed guidance.

Mitch isn't screwing around either, so it could work! He's still only about 22 years of age and has already a ton of experiences!

Edit: He becomes 24 years old at the end of the year.
I was Josiah's mechanic for EMX125 (Everts 125cc) and the first year of EMX250 (Red Bull KTM) and lived with him for those seasons, there is no doubt in my mind he has the talent to be at the front of any series. He just had hard time being 16 and in Europe by himself, the people he was competing against had there whole life and or family with them, Josiah was doing everything and I mean everything by himself. I sure know when I was 16 I didn't have clue what to do most days let alone on the other side of the world away from my family and friends. He also turned it around at the end of the season and got 2nd overall at the final round (Swiss) of EMX250 that year and won a round the next year (Latvia).

As to having Stefan/Harry "push him/kick his ass" couldn't be further from the truth, they advised on technique, specifically in the sand but his trainer/advisor while on the 125 was Ben Townley and Joel Smets the 1st year of EMX250.

Josiah is running top 15 in AMA motocross out of a van, beating factory bikes on a bike that is probably down 5HP and he needs his "ass kicked/pushed", think he might know what hes doing, and some people just need some time to work out who they are and what works for them.

He'll be racing the rest of the Canadian series for the Partzilla PRMX Kawasaki team.

https://rydetv.com/ $5.99 a month.

There's a member here that usually posts them on YouTube and the Canadian MX threads, but he got flagged by the series.

The streaming is not flawless/as high quality like the US series, but they don't have the same kind of budgets to work with. I will say that it seems to be getting better each year.

There's 6 rounds left with the last one being on August 14th. I'm sure you've spent $12 on worse things. Grinning

They also broadcast the women's and premix/125 class.

Won't be on YouTube. Jetwerx flagged the channel, so the 2022 rounds were all taken down.

This will be interesting to see how the pace differs from AMA to the Canadian series . My guess is he battles for wins in the Canadian series .
