pretty soon as he had the fastest laptime of all the racers on the gate. How is that possible?

He’d rather throw the win away instead

Gravity and himself are his worst enemies. Dude has shown he can win.

Silly mistakes aside, he will need to speed up a bit then maintain that speed for 30 minutes to beat the two Aussies who are on another level.

Moto 2 yesterday....the Lawrences' finished 30 seconds ahead of Cooper who was 3rd....on a very gnarly track. That's a big problem for the rest of the field.

There’s no doubt about Mosiman’s speed, but he needs to spend more time near the front without the blazing fast laps and subsequent mistakes.
Just solid laps so he can build his race craft. Then bring the extra speed. Seems to have trouble with maintaining concentration currently.

Watch guys like tomac and jett ride. They start at a safe speed and build the intensity and never ride over there heads.
Guys like mosiman, Hampshire and ciancirullo they just ride as fast as they can without getting a flow. I also think those guys ride at 100% so they are always closer to a crash. Ferrandis, tomac and jett they don't ride on there edge so they might not always win. But they don't crash that often.

I think the hondas and team Honda are that much better than the rest, just like they were yesteryear.

I'd downvote this, but.... ;-)

I wouldn't say its specifically the red bike.

Put the Lawrences on (**enter any of the other 6 brands here**) and the result would be the same.

I'm not so sure bout that Holmes. The mystique that Honda formally had has returned after a few years I'm afraid.

“Should” and “will” are two very different things. Oh don’t know if what’s between his ears is allowing it

I'll be convinced when they win Both the 250 SX titles, the 450 SX title and 450 outdoors. IN THE SAME YEAR!

Until then, they're no more than any of the other factory teams.

That’s nostalgic bias your seeing. Honda hasn’t done shit since 2004. Until they go on a run similar to Kawi and Yamaha I’ll categorize it as premature

The reference was Factory Honda similar to the 80's.

One thing I'll say about him, wasn't long ago he had a label as, "the dirtiest rider out there".
He's definitely not that rider any longer.
And that's good to see.

He's fast, no doubt about that.
He's just in the unfortunate era of the Lawrence brothers.
And going fast enough to keep up with them has everyone riding just a bit out of their comfort zone.
