I used to have faith in the US judicial system.

Now I'm confident it is corrupt.. Everyone is in someone's pocket. Might as well just let the mob decide without even bothering with a trial. Or better yet, Trial by combat, lol
I'll go trial by combat.
I already know that I can out shoot the wankers.

Zackly. 45 decimated the State Deparment plus left the most unfilled positions of any US president. Good thing was he was too busy to ever leave the WH. 45 then proceeded to visit his property over 500 times to play golf while president AFTER saying Obama golfed too much.

People that still believe anything that comes out of his mouth are either QAnon or believe batshit crazy people like the lady lawyer and My Pillow Guy. Anyone that believes the Big Lie based on nothing really should evaluate their thought process. It isn't about politics but about not beleiving BS from a known well documented BS artist.

"45 decimated the State Deparment plus left the most unfilled positions of any US president. Good thing was he was too busy to ever leave the WH."

No, the "good thing" is that he decimated the State Department, and left the most unfilled positions of any US president. Less government is never a bad thing.

Any sane jury should convict him for lying to the FBI, He sent text messages, they have notes he claims he was not acting on behalf of any client. The evidence and even a witness says not true.

Short of conflicting testimony, He should be convicted. Not sure why you you believe things are not going well for prosecution, but I have been away and not tuned in to the trial.

What happened?
Any sane person would know that Donald Trump's lying and he incited a riot to try and cover up the fact that he lost a election. What happened?

The fact you say ‘any sane person’ like anyone who doesn’t agree with you is insane means I’ll never take anything you say on this topic seriously. Conversation is good. Debate is good. Condescension is not good.

How do you feel about Tuggy450 saying "any sane jury would convict him"? My comment was merely in response to his. But that's okay I understand that kind of thing is good when it suits your purpose but not otherwise. Totally fits the profile. Perhaps you should have read before you spoke. I quit taking your comments seriously a long time ago. How's that for condescension?

In other words your refusing to listen to any other opinion because you simply do not want to? That is not a good method to moving forward. Tell me please, if you believe Trump used the 6th to insight a riot why did Pelosi not call in the troops? Why if all of this was a cover up and a way to uprise have the FBI trails grown cold with those helping to insight the riots like Epps?

I get it, you didn’t like Trump, but if you were to look at things with common sense you would see a difference in what is happening. If you honestly believe the country as a whole would have been better if Hillary won over Bad orange guy, or you believe Biden is better then I would start to question why you feel that way. When you look at HARD facts with numbers and not MSNBC or Fox talking points the ground you stand on no longer exists. Say if I were to place a gun to your head and asked you who the better administration was? Would you feel confident with the Biden or Hillary answer?

Economically, border security, foreign affairs, GDP, jobs, tariffs, etc. the list stacks in the “Donald’s” favor. So at this moment, how can you be taken seriously when you yourself can’t see past your own two feet? As always, I have asked the same question over and over with crickets. Disputing for a path that leads forward is key to success. Disputing out of ignorance is just that.

So, uh, no...yeah...

Uh, what's your expertise on 'All Things Foreign Affairs' and 'State Dept.'? I mean, other than your usual Mother Jones meets NYT re-opining on these things, where's your real understanding of WHICH administrations have had successful foreign policy and WHICH administrations have not?

Better, yet, what's your experience in/with DoS & the like?
I am a member of the Society for International Affairs

https://www.siaed.org/

I went to an Export Control training seminar that they were hosting in Newport Beach back in year 2 (I think) of 45's presidency. There are officials from the State Dept, Commerce Dept, and DOD there that give talks on various subjects.

In between sessions, I spoke to a woman who was in the State Dept and asked her how things were there since 45 took over.

She looked around first, then pulled me aside outside of anyone's earshot and told me that it was a disaster.
Morale was low, people were taking early retirement or leaving for private sector jobs. She had been there for 16 years and was looking for an exit ramp.

Now, I know it is only 1 person, but that is what I know from experience.

In other words nothing. Do not put words in my mouth. You choose to interpret them however you like but don't dare to suppose that you know my thoughts or motivations. Because I do not agree with you does not mean I'm blind or ignorant. While not a big fan of Hillary or Biden I feel more comfortable with them simply because they were more qualified. Trump showed his ass so many times in so many different ways . He had his chance, he blew it, and the American people responded. You keep asking the same redundant question over and over even though it has no relevance to a
particular thread or conversation. It's been answered before in half a dozen other threads yet you keep using it as your go-to as if that somehow helps you "own the libs" when you don't have a reasonable answer and then pat yourself on the back when no one takes the bait. The fact that people choose not to debate your alt-right reactionary talking points is not a sign of ignorance but of intelligence. Why would anyone want to participate in an endless circle jerk?

I agree, most Federal organizations are now corrupt and weaponized, doing the bidding of whichever puppet is in the Oval Office. Right wing, left wing, same bird. Time for a new way of doing it.

I think we need to implement Conehead justice !

I didn't place words in your mouth. If you choose not to have a conversation based on facts to move forward then you are behind the curve and thus irrelevant and ignorant. Can you enlighten us folk on what qualifications in politics encompasses? Hillary and Biden have failed the American people much more prominently than Donald Trump and for a longer time frame. What exactly did Trump blow? The country was in a much better situation than it currently sits, and WAS in a better place than when his predecessor was in office. Now, the question I asked has not been answered in either thread and is completely relevant in each particular thread it has been asked in. Now you get upset and have a temper tantrum about me "owning the libs" which is not my intention. You have used a ton of BS in all the threads you have spoken in without confirmation of one single thing you bring to the table. You talk about alt-right talking points, so I am curious as to what those points are?

In the end, you have what you yourself stated "circle jerked" your way into a situation with zero fundamental logic and supporting facts to help your position. You say you would rather have Hillary and Biden based on being qualified for the position and yet the country is in a living hell because of one of them. So again, what is better in the current situation than when Trump was in the office? There is a reason you got upset and haven't answered and that is because the answer doesn't exist. The point of saying that is intelligent and not ignorant is laughable. I don't care if anyone disagrees with me, In fact I welcome an apposing view so we can see the differences, find the common ground and move forward.

You have not provided one single shred of thought, effort, or open mindedness to even get on the level of having a discussion that is beneficial. Maybe it is time to do some actual research and figure out what is really happening. Then come back and we can discuss, because right now you are nothing more than a talking point from a local news station.

Open-mindedness, now there's a subject you should pursue. As long as you continue to insist that one person is the source of all the troubles and ills in this country you have already failed the test. Methinks thou doth protest too much. Time for you to switch hands.

Any sane person would know that Donald Trump's lying and he incited a riot to try and cover up the fact that he lost a election. What happened? Was this not you? Either you are contradicting yourself at this point, or you just firmly believe it is all Trumps fault but currently not Bidens? I suppose this is just a classic mixup.

Since we are in this position, I firmly believe our political system has failed us the people as a whole. The rule for thee and not for me is imbedded in our politicians core. People like Pelosi, Schumer, McConnell etc are a HUGE rotten apple. Things need to change and the climate of separating the nation so they point fingers at one another and not the politicians who can remain in power and side step accountability, is rotting our core. Thus I do not believe it is the President alone pulling strings and it is Congress and the lobbyist who place them into the positions that are the ones pulling the strings. I personally believe we should demand term limits, no trading while in office, no special healthcare, fundraising limits and a system which holds our politicians accountable for the people who elected them. They are supposed to speak for those who voted for them and not special interests.

He was vindicated by Impeachment, turns out, there was really no evidence he incited a riot, lol, Asking people to be peaceful if protesting doesn't count, even if the media claims it does.

What revisionist crap. Trump called for the January 6th assembly, had his stooges rile the crowd up then said he'd walk to the Capitol with them. Reality is over 140 Capitol police officers were injured that day during that so called peaceful protest.

People that believe it was peaceful protest think the election was stolen based on the Big Lie.

No, the "good thing" is that he decimated the State Department, and left the most unfilled positions of any US president. Less government is never a bad thing.
Less government is a good thing. Less foreign ambassadors during one of the most turbulent times in our nation's history is not a good thing.

Here is an article that speaks to the massive turnover Trump's administration while here is an op ed that speaks to the damage Trump did to the state deparment

Not sure why this is even an issue?

Massive turnover? So what? He was successful, Maybe his management style, who knows? who cares?, a hit piece, with no importance.

Look he changes his socks twice a day. What a waste of water..blah blah blah, what does he have smelly feet?

Just dumb can' believe I wasted my time even reading that drivel. then the next drivel.

State department? You mean the Obama Biden State department? Again, who cares? If anything it shows That Trump didn't make excuses for his state department or lack thereof.

Uncle Joe. Looking for someone to blame for his basement policies., lets see how Uncle Joe's foreign policy is going, oh not so good, I know blame Trump State department vacancies.

Anyway back on topic, Sussman Jury re-convenes Tuesday

More sad than funny. You probably don’t think the fix was in, especially considering the jury.

I don’t care what side of the aisle you stand on. If any one of us were to do what he did we would be in jail. These people need to help held accountable no matter what.

What did he do again? 3 years later and all of Trumps horses and all of Trumps men couldn't get a conviction? Even with Republican Trump appointed judges and prosecutors? This was supposed to prove the Deep state conspiracy against Trump and his minions and all they could come up with after all of that was one Thin unprovable charge of making a false statement. Turns out that was a lie too. Accountability? Does that apply to all the January 6th numbskulls aided and abetted by a sitting president to overthrow a fair election and the peaceful transfer of power?

I used to have faith in the US judicial system.

Now I'm confident it is corrupt.. Everyone is in someone's pocket. Might as well just let the mob decide without even bothering with a trial. Or better yet, Trial by combat, lol
Called that one, But really no surprise, OJ got off, on a lot more.

Given so many here are willing to excuse his actions based on Orange man bad, wasn't a complete surprise

A year and a half but I told you that 3 times already, Not a 35 million dollar investigation. like the "Russia" investigation. I guess it sounds better when you claim it was a three year investigation.

Wait till midterms and you may just see an all the king's horses and all the king's men style investigation.

You are either ignorant or intentionally lying. Barr started this investigation in May of 2019.

https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2019/05/13/attorney-genera…

The difference so far is that the $35M investigation led to convictions and guilty pleas for illegal activity, while the current Barr-initiated investigation has not.

But you knew that, of course........
