I'm probably going to get hammered for this but what the hell.

You could look at it as it sucks to have to pay to watch the Nationals but I look at it the other way.

My suggestion is everyone is not only to purchase the yearly package for MAVTV but don’t cancel Peacock.
Sure you could save a few pennies by going monthly for moto and cancelling as soon as the series is over and to cancel Peacock now. That in my opinion is short sighted, why not reward the companies who invest in our sport? Show some loyalty to them and maybe they will see we may be a niche sport but we do have money and aren’t afraid to spend it. That’s the only way programming will expand.

Ill say it first, because companies are not loyal to there paying customers!!

If a streaming service wants to show loyalty to the customers offer a rewards program that decreases the amount you have to pay based on the number of years subscribed.

so say peacock, If you've been subscribed for the past 2 years.. your monthly or yearly rate should go down.

But nope, all of the companies are worried about their bottom line and just want to milk us dry. P.S (I'm very very cynical, when it comes to anything big companies/corporations and showing loyalty to them, when they don't show any at all)

NBC got their ad revenue during SX. Premium members still had to watch commercials. What’s the fuckin point? That’s all Supercross is, a small circus show for companies to advertise during. They’ve made that very clear, at least to me.

That applies to everything that's on TV for the last 75 years.

Of course, companies are worried about their bottom line, if they aren't they are a charity.

We need to give them a reason to think their bottom line will be better if they broadcast our stuff.

Santa Claus isn't real and programming on tv exists only to sell ad space and create revenue other ways. Sorry to burst your bubble.

I think the opposite is more impactful. Start your subscription the day the season begins and cancel it the second it ends. Show them the ONLY reason you have their service is for motocross, and if it weren’t for Moto they wouldn’t get a penny from you. Maybe then they will be more likely to add Moto to their programming

Be sure to watch "Girls 5 Eva" and "Wolf Like Me" before you cancel your Peacock. Those were pretty good.

Ahhh the old "Catch more flies with vinegar" trick.

May work, what the hell do I know. What I do know is MAV has come out and publicly stated they are looking for more moto content. If I leave the house, the damn dog can watch MAV for all I care.

I haven't watched either, but Wolf Like Me looked like it could be interesting. Girls 5 Eva just looked cringy, though.

On topic: I agree, and like the optimism, McG. Seems like a better thought process than a lot of the people in this thread have...

I assume you quoted me in response to OP because you agree with what I said? Because what you said is literally exactly what I said.

I quoted you in response to my original post because I understand that businesses are there to make a profit and I don't get mad at them for making a profit.

Im going to have to jump through hoops and buy a Roku or chromecast even though I have a ps4 and new smart tv that are perfectly capable of streaming, yet the app isn’t offered.

No tears from me for Mav tv.

The only audience any network or broadcaster cares about is the advertiser and that’s it.

Who's going to see the advertiser if there's no audience?

If you want peacock to continue to air supercross you’d unsubscribe once supercross is over…. Why would they pick it up in 2023 if it doesn’t gain or lose them viewership?

Captain Optimist really had a swing and a miss on this whole thread.
