Russians are panicking that they all will be extracted to Turkey . Unconfirmed number of solders in Azovstal is 2227.
It is not clear what will happen to AZOV solders. They might not be part of the deal. Marines, borderguards, police etc all will be exchanged.

There is strong indication from comments by russian DNR comanders in Mariupol that deal has been made to exchange all ukrainian solders in Mariupol. It will take some time, but looks promising so far. Just have to wait. Russian extremists are pissed, they wanted to see blood.

I don`t know. There is 800 AZOV solders out of almost 2500 fighters there. Their fate is unknown. Russian Duma is trying to push a law that prohibids exchanging any AZOV solder. Everyone is mum on details of the deal. Just bits of info. Some of the solders are taken to Rostov, Russia. We just have to wait. Todays plan is 1000 solders exiting. This comes from DNR comander on a ground. As soon as it gets dark, they stop any movement.
Zelensky said yesterday the defenders of Mariupol has completed their task and was ordered to stand down to save lives.

I have a daughter roughly the same age and who also loves "Frozen" and belts this song out with such joy and charisma. Only she gets to do so in a beautiful safe home rather than a cramped bunker hiding from random artillery and rocket strikes. This shattered my heart into a million pieces.

In the original thread at the start of the war I said this would be the first 21st century war. I thought there would be more hacking of critical infrastructure, but it seems one of the more important aspects of this war compared to say the war in Iraq is the use of small UAVs or "drones" for both reconnaissance and attack. Most people think of multirotors when they think of drones but fixed wing aircraft are often cheaper and faster with more range and carrying capacity. This seems like something that will be very important going forward as the meaning of "air power" is likely to look different. Do US infantrymen receive extensive training in the operation of these for FPV flight and targeting? It seems to me small UAVs and ATGMs will be the future of ground warfare.

With these cheap grenade-dropping drones basically silent above you, no place is safe on a battlefield anymore and you must assume you're being watched and targeted non-stop. Talk about psychological stress 24/7.
