Those thinking that Dungey is coming back & picking it up where he left off?
It -IS- a 'tall order'. I think he's capable; but, I also think there are a coupl'a guys that stayed in it and bumped things up a few notches.
He has proven that he can put his head down and get the job done; however, we're gonna find out if he's still willing to "throw it out there and RISK it"....

I hear that Craig guy might "have a future" riding 450's.
I predict Dungey will get off to a slow start and be very conservative for the first few rounds to shake off the cobwebs, deal with arm pump/nerves, and re-learn how to stay comfortable at race pace. Once he's comfortable, gains confidence, and able to avoid riding tight it's game on. Of anyone, Dungey knows it's a long season and he can use the first few rounds to race himself back into the game, both physically and mentally.
There are a few guys who can beat him with speed, but we all know consistency is where Dungey shines. He'll be a championship contender for sure.
I will make a bold claim now.. he is top five in points through the 1st 4 rounds. Then I think other guys will be back in the swing of things.. of course more riders could be hurt.. what do I know.
Guy has regular beaten majority of field already.
Dungey will be on podium more often then not.
Pit Row
I feel like that 5year race gap is too much to be the old Dungey though.
However, he wasnt exactly competitive when he last raced in 2016 as Roczen was beating him soundly until he crashed out. Its going to be different now?
If that's not competitive, there's a lot of riders that need to put a for sale sign on their bike.
The level of racing was just given a shot in the arm, what top 10 guy is going to allow RD to beat him? Roczen is already pounding his chest and the noise will get louder as we get closer. It's just what this summer series needed.
I hope Brayton checks in for a couple rounds, maybe Alessi -- who knows.
I'll hit an extra 2 rounds now that I now RD is racing. Not to mention AC...this is a dream deal and good for the sport.
I am not a fan of the California tracks but I will be at CO/Red Bud and Millville for sure and if I can swing it Washougal. Maybe that fat boy Arvee will be at Washougal. HAHA...
This is awesome.
