Anybody remember DeAnza MX

I raced there a handful of times in the late 70"s and early 80's and the best I could do was mid-pack finishes....I was a CRC guy (Saddleback and Indian Dunes) and was running up/near the front most of the time with them (250/Open Int.), but I would get smoked by "locals" every time at DeAnza....I'd feel like I was riding pretty good only to have some guy go flying by me in a line I didn't recognize was there....I recall it being a "hilly" track with good dirt and a cool start--kinda' like Saddleback's, only shorter and steeper right out of the gate....

First place I ever raced! 1974 was actually a High School race. Riversides North High versus Palm Springs.

We also use to sneak in thru a tunnel under the freeway from an area called the badlands.
