Get the Kwacka. Ask Trey Jorski here about them, he goes like stink on one. Not sure what AHRMA class the 76 would go in as it was basically unchanged from 74. Thinking the rear shock position was a little different and may not be able to be changed to make it "vintage" legal. It may come up a little short for the next class up as the RM's and YZ's were getting pretty good updates in those historic/evolution 1 class years.

Indeed the fixing of shocks is different, on the 74 are fix near the wheel axle, and on the 75/76 the fixing is advanced. But there are also other differences. it's not too expensive, in Europe at this price then it would already be sold. Sorry for my English very bad.

You can ride it in vintage in AHRMA. You have to run spacers on the rear shocks.

Sweden, the country of Torleif "Cassius Clay" Hansen and Christer Hammargren, Dennis Slythe (mechanic of Graham Noyce) given me stickers as there was on the fuel tank of the Kawi of Christer Hammargren in 1975, is Rik Asch (mechanic factory Kawasaki) who had given him, I did make reproductions that I pasted on a fuel tank of 80 KX80 A2 and I installed on my 81 KX125 A7.

Jammin Jimmy Weinert at Anaheim in 1983

Tom Benolkin said about this bike:

"In December of 1981 Ward and I went over to Japan for two weeks focusing on the development of this bike. The KHI Engineering squad had one MAJOR focus (trim unsprung weight).

They went so far as to have a 4 speed transmission to eliminate a few gears, springs, clips, retainers. The bike actually came in at a remarkable 14 pounds below the legal AMA limit. Time is not allowing me to recall what the limit was...204 maybe???

By mid-season we were twitchy about our rides. They were good but that was the year of the drop down tank Hondas...which literally ruled EVERY holeshot.

Your photo most likely was Anaheim opener 1983 which would mean 3 of these air cooled 4 speeds were collecting dust. Ward's, Breker's and mine from 1982."

These bikes still exist ???

Ohh, you forget Hakan CARLA Carlqvist, in 1976 Torleif Hansen let Carla use one of his old workbikes .

Yes I forgot Hakan Carlqvist, but Carla is rather associated with Yamaha, so I am not mistaken he rolled Kawa only in 1988, the year of "The Beer Stop" in Namur.

This is a shot of my older brother on a 1970 G31m Centurion, or "Greenstreak" 100 at Sprockets Park in Bakersfield, California. He still has a complete '71 model.
