Who do we trust? A poll on one of three top networks, or Facebook who's poll is more than likely non-biased and has a more diverse group of people to ask? I would think Facebook is a better gauge of an approval rating?Wink

Voluntary polls just get the people who are most motivated to point out their point of view. Neutral polls are conducted by calling people, not having people call.

Any poll that relies on people's DESIRE to be polled is garbage. If you take an online poll on MSNBC you'll get one result, if you take the same online poll on Fox News' website you'll get a completely different result. Pollsters would laugh at any Facebook poll on ANYTHING.

That makes no sense? Anybody who agrees to take a poll is "desiring" to take a poll.. right?? If you poll people on CNN, and FOX, you're going to get a lot different results. Facebook seems to be more unbiased doesn't it?

Thank God unemployment stopped at 8% like they said it would. That almost sucked for a minute there. They just finished paving the streets with gold here. Shit is AWESOME right now.

It makes sense. It's the same as the difference between putting a poll about two-strokes on this site, and then calling randomly the people who attended supercrosses this year and asking them.

On this site, the people who really want their opinion to be heard, they're the ones who would vote.

On the other poll, it would just be people who agree to give a couple minutes of their time.

I would guess that about 75% of the people don't even know what the President's "job" is. Any poll like that is worthless.

Did RR ever tell us that we must pass this stimulas right the fuck right now and if we do unemployment will stop at 8% and if not unemployment will continue to climb? Seriously, my memory is shitty. I think it's climbed higher with this stimulas then Obama claimed it would had we left it alone.

I have never logged on to face book, ever. Believe it or not a significant portion of the population has not. Also believe it or not those that do have facebook accounts as a whole could (would) very likely answer the poll questions differently than the national population as a whole.

I would believe the demographics of Facebook lean more liberal than the national population. Polls can get whatever answer they're looking for based on the way the questions are posed. However, a facebook poll that leans heavily anti Obama is very interesting.
