If you're not getting the whole lid painted, I'd just get a decal made.

Those decals look cheap. Done that in the past. And I would like some other things added if someone can do it.

most any painter will. troy lee used to have pricing for name/number only broken out on their site. ping them if you want some very nice hand lettering

Sounds like you need a new decal guy---- with the dude that does ours , you have to actually run your hands over them to realize they are decals and not airbrushed on.

TLD will hand paint it for $150 if you are buying a new TLD helmet. Not sure what they charge for a different brand.

My local Fastsigns is cheap and we have come up with some pretty cool helmet name and number decals. They have faux gold and silver leaf, different colors of chrome look, etc.

These all look so good. How the heck do ya'll come up with the designs? Or do you just kind of tell them some colors you want and they do it up? I know what I like when I see it but I don't have that creative side, haha.

I have an in-house guy that does all of ours for our "proprietary" graphic packages on our lifted trucks and Wranglers at the dealership. But , ANY good decal guy should be able to create anything you'd want, especially if its just a name across the back and your numbers on the side.

We have had the best luck with the super thin air-release vinyls that are easier to put on the curved surfaces (like a helmet). With todays software/tech he can make/recreate anything you can dream up.

Other upsides to a quality decal job --- A.) a helluva lot cheaper than paint -- Should be able get what you want for $ 50-ish
B.) If you decide you want a different design,colors ,etc you can heat/peel and try something new

Big T is some of the best people around. The whole family. I’m good buddy’s with his sons. When I was 20-21 I was having a hard time, just being a dumbass kid, had nowhere to stay. Big T let me in and I slept in there loft for a few months, I started hangin around bad crowd and just up and left Big T’s. Still feel like an asshat today for that ha I’ve seen him a few times since, the guy could tell me to get fucked and i was an idiot who just blew it but he’s always been super nice since that the couple times I’ve seen him. Hes one of the best helmet painters out there. The guy is unreal talented with art. Don’t think you could find a better guy to give the business too.

Oof, it was a lot because I told him I wanted all the bells and whistles. $850, and I gave him a tip. He's pretty much just doing it as a side thing because he has a full time job.

Looks like this thread is a couple years old but.

For just lettering and not a decal find a local sign painter/pinstriper. These guy are old school tech and can hand paint your numbers and names.

There are alot of great custom painters image-20240111110117-1out there,find one you trust and go from there.

Other than that ,i am Tristan from Tcreations_Helmets / instagram and can help you with any of your custom painting needs.c hill helmet
