In the effort to have a meaningful "solution" or potential solution, first let me say that a few years ago ,I was part of a group of representatives made up of City, State, Manufacturers, Retailers, AMA corporate, District officials, Safety organizations and philanthropists whom met to discuss the potential to provide riding areas for city enthusiast to get off the street. We had meetings in various locations over a years time. We took field trips with officials to see what the potential could be in their future. We had guest State representatives discuss blight areas that were recovered and prosperous today. The City passed a resolution to investigate alternatives and look at potential sites to create safe corridor access to parks etc. The reality, it never went anywhere. In my opinion there wasn't an articulate or committed individual to speak or drive the project to fruition. I believe only 20% max would use a facility, and that being a new generation. I'm mostly convinced the majority of the riders want to flagrantly create chaos.
That being said, I believe an outlet for city enthusiast could be productive. I'm not saying on taxpayers dime. There are Enterprise Opportunity Zones that could provide facilities for ATV's. Abandon warehouse obstacle courses, ATV drag strips both turf and asphalt, stunt course and associated areas. BMX, legitimate motocross tracks both beginner for youth and amateur. Involvement with Police Athletic League, repair shops, Rotary Club, Community Groups and school reward programs. Create competition. Create funding for business opportunities associated with the project. Provide involvement and in turn provide values.
I could not believe the amount of support and financials that were available for this effort. A private individual could only wish for this much support opening a track outside the city. They (city riders) couldn't come to the table. Perhaps things are changing and they can form a group to elect a real spokesperson to make the change. I like everyone here am passionate about our sport and know the value it provides both to the individual and family. I care about our sport and our reputation. When i grew up, anybody associate with a motorcycle was an outlaw a juvenile delinquent. The public doesn't see the amount of economic impact and family that are involved and I take every chance encounter to promote our sport. This is a nationwide issue. I believe there could be a solution to reduce this behavior but something has to change. I really believe Travis Pastrana missed the opportunity to address the issue on Extreme Talent. See my response above.
In the mean time:
1. Allow the police to enforce the law.
2. Provide facilities (private over public funded).
3. Set up community meetings for rider input to identify their issues.
4. Organize them through sign up to legitimize the sport safely.
5. Out smart them w/ social media and false pretense to gather and enforce the law.
P.S. I do understand the outrage and it is not a racial issue...I've seen all ethnicity's involved.
I agree. It ain't moto. It can go to non-moto but the reality we are associated with it in the public eye which in the long run doesn't serve us well. I kind of felt the same way when freestyle came about. It's not motocross either.

Pit Row
😂😂😂
I’ll gladly hunt a cat like that without the use of my brain (the things humans brains have created), if that cat can’t use the speed, strength, claws, teeth, sense of smell, camouflage (the things it evolved through time to get to the top of its food chain).
But it makes no sense to expect humans to not use the tools nature gave us, without also asking the animal to not use the things nature gave them.
Nature is cruel, and survival of the fittest. Maybe we have an edge, with our brains, over that cat….but that cat has an unfair advantage over the rabbits, or deer it kills. We are part of nature…nature is cruel…
There are places in the world where humans are still government by survival of the fittest. Humans aren’t always exempt from the laws of nature just because we are the top of the food chain.
