Compression adjustment on new CRF forks

Edited Date/Time 3/12/2022 5:03am
I just got a new CRF 450 and adjusting the compression clickers on the forks is impossible without removing the handlebars. Has anyone got a great fix for this problem? A tool og some sort of bolt on finger dial?

What are using to adjust them?

I have a skinny 6” flat blade that reaches them no problem with my bars on the rear mounts.

Are you running a super low bar bend or something? I've never had an issue getting a regular flat blade in there. If you think these are a pain you should've lived with the previous KYB PSF 2 forks. Fuckin nightmare

I have my bars in the front mount turned backwards, wich makes the stock bar sit right above the compression adjuster. Nothing in my toolbox can reach it without fucking up the screw.

Ah, okay. Same forks but my bike is older and doesn't have the different holes for the bar mounts, so I didn't think of that.

This is what I personally use. Works for removing the for air bleed screw as well.

I run low bars, as if I were one of the Martin brothers and yes, it sucks trying to get under there.

I ground a dime flat on top and a square into the other side. Cost me 20 cents to make because I screwed the first one!

Is it really a low bar issue though? Because they still sit in and exit the mounts at the same height. Unless they are really rolled back with the mounts facing rear in the rear clamp position.
