What was wrong with Coldenhoff? That wasn’t a good looking thing.

Holy cow what got Seewer a moment in that heat, happy he got away with that one.

Hopefully Prado has his starts figured out for tomorrow, I don’t see anybody being close or able to battle with Gajser.

Maybe because he’s Russian.

Edit just re read your what you said. It’s a joke, I know these sanctions are meant to hurt the people of Russia but it’s becoming a bit stupid now.

Wait can Brylyakov actually not race because he's Russian? Is this for real?

Yeah, friend of mine in Mantova spoke to the team this morning. They severed him notice last night, he’s not allowed to race

Is there an official source on this? I know the European teams and riders generally aren't as active on social media as in other parts of the world but I had a decent look and couldn't find anything, and I'd figure that this would have to be pretty big news if it was true. I'm not calling you a liar and other people have corroborated this but it seems weird that I can't find any official source on this. Do you know who's responsible?

Who passes these tracks off, anyone highsiding in to that is going to be in a very, very bad way.

Whoever the riders rep is should be hanging their heads in shame.
I agree, they should have put a wall on the inside of the straight after the next corner so if riders ran wide they couldn't cut the corner and get back on the track there.

It’s an official PR from the FIM which you can find here:

https://www.fim-moto.com/en/news/news-detail/article/fim-announces-its-decisions-in-relation-to-the-russian-invasion-of-ukraine

Not seen anything official about Brylyakov but it’s from a reliable source and he wasn’t out there in warm-up

Elzingas' first OA in EMX250? Good stuff, Brent will be celebrating, I would think.

And, 2 Norwegians on either side of him on the podium.Woohoo

2nd moto, 2 Strokes 1-2-3. They've certainly got the capacities - Equivalent - right in EMX250. They need to cut the crap and have it in All High Level 250 series, World Wide . It certainly won't mean a lot of 1-2-3s, but it would make things far more interesting than just a monoculture in racing.

The various EMX series are good things , they allow riders and smaller teams to showcase themselves, and gain exposure. They are High Level Championships to shoot for, at a reasonable cost. And they have No problems getting high entries. I think the most I've seen is something like 95 and 112 at one of the GPs - I can't recall which quantity was EMX125 or EMX250.

But with MX2 and EMX250, there should be NO age limit. I'm also against limits on titles you can get - though, I'd concede that perhaps there should be on EMX250 titles you can rack up, though, if you could get a few EMX250 titles, I'd think you'd have a good chance of getting a MX2 ride. Well, you'd bloody well hope so.

Cripes, maybe it's the focus that vicious wall on the first corner / second straight brought to my old, myopic eyes, but bloody hell, they are 'into' their Walls at Mantova.......... Shocked They make Tuff Blocks look positively benign.

For those who haven't been following the news or just depend on Vital MX for their news feed, here's a quick recap:

Russian athletes have been banned from entering several (I want to say almost all) international sporting events, at least in Europe. Non-Russian athletes have also fled Russia, along with international companies and media. Two foreign ice hockey teams in the KHL have quit the league. At least one American athlete has been arrested in Russia.

This is in response to Russia invading a sovereign European country, bombing its cities and even setting fire to a nuclear powerplant, and threatening with nuclear weapons to anyone who intervenes.

Brylyakov can go ride in the Russian motocross championship now.

That is actually fucking disgusting and extremely hypocritical. I know it won't happen but it would be great if any riders would withdraw from FIM sanctioned series in protest. I'll try to not get any more political than that but I'm genuinely disgusted by that and if I express my full genuine feelings about this I'd probably get clipped.

Edit: Typo

I get it that a sport and athletes are some part of national propaganda for every nation. I get it that he is not allowed to represent the country that is being naughty.

Can't Seva race under FIM flag? If he is able to compete without money and ties to Russia does that really hurt anyone?

I do not want to play devil's advocate but Ovechkin is allowed to play and he is great friend with naughty Vlad and ice hockey is way more popular in Russia than motorsport...Blink

TBH I've no idea if he's to blame or not, I know very little of him. He could be on the run from Putin's regime or his best pal for all I know. Just explaining the situation. AFAIK it's the same in all major sports, Russians' licences are being revoked and athletes banned from international events and I don't think they're returning any time soon.

Of course he could. Absolutely no reason at all why he couldn’t compete under a neutral flag.

Doesn't sound like it, here's an excerpt from an article I just read

The FIM’s strong stance against Russian license holders contrasts strongly with that of the FIA, the governing body for four-wheel motorsport, which recently allowed all Russian and Belarusian drivers to continue to race provided they switched to a neutral license and followed certain guidelines.

Yep, Brylyakov isn't shown in the gate pick order despite finishing 19th in the qualifying race. Makes me ashamed to be a fan.
