Find myself wondering if anybody at Husky is really super mad at Malcom? #21 has been pretty much a top 10 guy the past few years (when not injured) he jumps ship to Kawi and is showing more desire and speed than he has in years AND is in the thick of the championship hunt . . . (I am not saying Husky wanted Malcom to do this)

Any way you slice it, Mookie just gave Eli an early birthday present

Tomac rode very fast but it was not vintage Tomac for Daytona. But still good enough to win.

The guy knows how to ride Daytona. He would have seven in a row if he had one more lap or he didn't fall.

Truly amazing. Webb dropping so fast at the end kind of surprised me. Guess he was pushing the limits.

Webb had his places he was faster. There was only a few paces Tomac would be able to make a pass. We know how good Webb is when the pressure is on at the end of the race.

Tomac probably had a good chance to make a pass but I don’t think it’s as cut and dry as everyone thinks. Webb is capable of wicking it up just enough to get a win.

Tomac had so many opportunities to take an inside line and make a legit block pass (not the takeout move that we’ve seen so much of lately) but I think that the announcing crew got it right when they said that he didn’t want to do it early and give Webb a chance to repass before the checkers.

I think that Tomac could have passed him several laps before the end, but he knew that there were sections that Webb could make up ground and maybe return the favor. Overall, they were both playing the mental game and Webb just made the slightest of mistakes by trying to go up the inside of McElrath. Had the 12 not been there it may have paid off for him but it would have come down to who had the best sections on the last half of the last lap.

Webb's best race of the season.
And glad to see it.
But it was Tomac's race.
He was in serious stalking mode.

Too bad Mcelrath robbed us of a good battle at the end.

Previous to that lap Tomac made up atleast a half second when a lapped ride got in Webb’s way and he could do that triple. Tomac made up time there as well.

I have no idea what you could see on TV (haven't seen yet) but one place ET was making time was going over the over-under bridge.
He found a line or kick that allowed him to scrub over the entire top of it, you could see the time difference being made up
