Looking for gray color rubberized frame grip tape for a 19-22 KX450, something that doesn't have a logo blasted all over it, like Nihilo's for example.

Ultimately I would love to get my mits on a set of the Vibram frame pads that the PC team is running, but I've checked everywhere and it seems green or black are my only options.

Although I did find an orange option on Motosport, which has to be a listing mistake?!

"MotoTape" offers a factory gray rubberized option, but the delivery time disclaimer on his site worries me. Anyone have much luck with decent turn around times lately?

Thank you!

Ace hardware sells the grey rubberized tape by the foot. I've ran it for years. Made a template for each side out of cardboard and keep multiple sets on hand at all times.

You want the 3M brand grey rubberized grip tape in a 3" width. As 40acres said above, make a template. I use a sheet of copy paper first, using a wide carpenter pencil to "shade" in the shape. Then cut that out. Check/refine the fit until correct, then transfer that to a thin cardboard sheet (think cereal box). You can then use that template and a ball-point pen to make as many as you want for cheap! Note: they only last about a ride or two...

That's what I do as well. Hell, some of the factory teams at GNCC do the same

And SX/MX. Got the idea years ago from Versace's mechanic on PC, lol.

The Skater tape looks interesting, maybe on to something there.

If you want to buy bulk or a roll, 3M Safety-Walk is the stuff. The gray is less aggressive (sharp) than the black.
I prefer the grey for that reason. Make templates and cut a bunch you'll need to replace every few rides.

I tried the skateboard tape prior to using the grey, rubberized tape. That skateboard tape absolutely demolished a pair of tech 7's within a few hours.

Ive been using the Dkl tape and have seen zero wear on my gear. Normal skateboard tape will chew up gear, but no issues with the Dkl rubber grip on my end. I actually need to go cut a set and put some on, pic from the last time I put it on the bike.
