I know the is only Rd.1 but I miss the fast laps for gate position already. These qualifiers are almost always just get into a good spot and hold races. At least with fast lap stuff you saw guys on the edge and if the camera crews followed the right guys it was good stuff.

MXGP class looking pretty thin right now. Tim should win this championship with ease.

This GoPro from yesterday shows how tough it is to see the ruts in the glare and shadows of the late afternoon sun.

Amazing race from Laengefelder. Only thing was keep taking that outside line before the waves, Vialle was way too kind. Even though the field is thin, the racing is awesome

Mattia Guadagnini was a bit disappointing...very impressed with how Simon handled the pressure in that second race.

It's good to see a new face leading the way and you're right ML, the way he handled the pressure was very impressive. Is Cairoli working with the team?

I'm not too sure what Cairoli's exact role is at this point but whatever DeCarli's group and Simon are doing sure is working. He took a big leap forward.
