Yeah, it's bush league, but my hope is always to have someone read a thread title and say, "WTF is this Jackwagon talking about?" and then open it up and see I'm making a fair point that is maybe out of the ordinary but just crazy enough to work. Like I said if 10 years ago I would suggest Brayton take the summer off and collect stacks overseas people would probably call me an idiot.
The downvotes are for every single post where you sound like a complete tool. I think that sentiment is nearly unanimous...hardly something to be gloating about.

Deano is awesome; love that guy...he'd be fun to be around, and has style for days.

Funny enough I have heard Cooksey say they were two different sports.

In that case and you were Husky and wanted the best possible chance for sucess in both disciplines you would put Mookie in SX and Deano outdoors, wouldn't you?

Given your affinity for Cooksey I figured he was somehow your inspiration.

What in Dean Wilson's 450 career makes you think he's a better at MX than SX? So much better that he should give up training for one to focus on the other? Do you realize he has more 450 podium finishes in SX than MX? He's equally gifted at both disciplines. If I were Husky? I would want to get my money's worth by having Dean Wilson and the attention he commands from fans and his sponsor engagements as present as possible throughout the year. Same with Mookie.

As far as what makes me think he's better outdoors. he is no slouch indoors and usually one of the best guys in the whoops so there is no definitive reason. The only reason is that he is a former champ outdoors, so he does have what it takes and frankly a lot of guys don't care about outdoors as much and don't put as much effort in.

Lastly for getting money's worth, Dean is Dean no matter if he is 10th place or 13th place. The crowd will still love him, and he will be well worth having.
6 races into a 17 race series that’s over 4 months long (and we’re only 6 weeks into the 4 months of racing). So far, in this series, he’s finished 9th (twice), 10th, 11th (twice) and 13th. He’s 11th in the series.

So, instead of continuing on and pushing to accomplish better results…and keep racing…SUPERCROSS…which is of Primary Importance to the brands he Is SPONSORED BY…(you know, that pay him…?)…he should quit SX and start training for the Nat’s?

There’s your thought process laid out before you; hence, you’re out of your head if you think that it makes sense for a professional racer to NOT do what his EMPLOYER pays him to do.

Riding MX suspension all week then hopping on a SX bike for the weekend doesn’t sound like the best idea

Yup.

Not sure I've ever seen this dude contribute anything meaningful to any conversation. Also if u are defending labeling a thread with something just to get some1 to click on it, u obvs understand why people think u are a fucking idiot.

In modern MX, it takes either a giant bank account or the efforts of a whole village to get a promising kid to the top levels. The Wilson's would have hitch-hiked to the races to get that kid on the line, and the sacrifices all of them made were legendary. That Dean turned out as well as he did - as both a racer and a person - is validation of that effort. The longer someone like Dean stays in the sport, the better off we all are.

Dean on 85's in the Alberta days, when everything got used up and then some (note the mismatching gloves - whatever worked was the motto):

The downvotes are not for the title...it's for your take in general.

When your go-to response is insulting others, you've lost the ability to defend your position or opinion...

Let's try this from a different angle.

Go into work and tell the person who signs your paycheck, that you're bailing on your present responsibilities, to focus on future responsibilities, in a business where there's an endless flow of young talented professionals coming up through the ranks who would take your job in a split second.
🤔

I never sail bail on his job. Reread really slow and understand what I'm saying. Start concentrating on outdoors now, will it kill him to put in some longer rides and start working up to outdoor fitness as well as mixing in some outdoor motos?

I think not.
“Throwing in the towel”,comes from boxing, and ends the fight.
Finished. I quit. Done.
So what does throwing the towel on the SX season mean for DW? Quitting the SX season, for which he’s likely under contract. That’s bailing on his job.

It has to hurt being called an idiot by someone who can't spell "you" or "one"!

When you are a former champ outdoors why not start even earlier than that? Don't stop racing SX, just start putting your energies towards outdoors.
I will debate you. You are a moran ! That was easy, I win. Cool Wink

Didn't really bother even reading your post or the replies, but just in case Deano or anyone from his team reads this, keep your f'in head up Deano and keep fighting like hell. Some of us love seeing you out there whether it's for 5th or 15th.

I even freaking admitted it was clickbaity to get a discussion going. Then I went on to say what a badass I thought Deano was. I had a couple pops tonight and am a lil slappy, you sound like an angry drunk.

I get it, you don't like the clickbait, debate on the subject. I think a healthy, focused Deano would be a force to be reckoned with outdoors.

The SX series is only a third of the way in and you want him to start focussing on outdoors???

Do you know something that Baker, Swannie and the rest of the elite trainers don't know?

Please can you explain why YOU think it will be beneficial to start outdoor prep so early into the SX series. Whistling Whistling Whistling
