The Ukraine is in a tight spot

2/15/2022 5:38am
Your point about pre-1997 is moot cause it's already in NATO...too late Mr Putin. Furthermore, the state of Russia's military in the 90s is not what it has been for the past 10 years.

I merely stated the current Russian position, which has not changed since Georgia tried the same move back in 2008 (again a combo of fault between false promises from the West and a foolish Georgian president).

Drawing parallels with pre-WW2 can just as easily be done the other way (not that I agree with either). Russia fought a fascist Germany in Ukraine where millions died. Since far-right (real nazis) elements were involved in the Maidan coup, it's not a far stretch to say Ukraine is controlled by Nazis. This is what locals that remember the war believe in Eastern Ukraine. Whether you agree with it or not is irrelevant.

Did I say I was OK with Russia dictating what Ukraine can or cannot do?

I am pragmatic. Ukraine has enormous strategic importance to Russia, therefore joining NATO is perceived as a direct threat to Putin's rule. The West must consider this very carefully cause there will be enormous repercussions if they move ahead with NATO membership. Ukraine would at the very least be flattened...even if article 5 was not honored. If it is honored...then game over for everyone. Hence, I don't think the US has the stomach for this....

Taiwan however....is a very different topic....that one scares me far more than the Ukraine crisis...

A major concern for Putin is that the Ukraine joins NATO and now Zelensky has publicly said he would like to join NATO.

There are three options for Putin. 1. Pack up and go home in shame. 2. Attack and face heavy sanctions and a long drawn out guerilla style war. (Unlikely China would want to get involved)
3. Stay as they are on the borders of Ukraine with continued threats until his demands are met.

Plowboy mentioned a reset. Well, Countries like Russia, China, Cuba and most of Africa need to be sorted out. These are the countries who will most likely stand together in the event if the worst case scenario.

Sub-Sahara Africa is rotten to the core and have sold out to the Chinese and will most likely side with the Russians.

The big reset button will be pushed at some point...and I daresay we have reached the point where it is needed.

..and now resource rich Afghanistan too, since they don't care about human rights violations.

No it`s not.

The claim originated in 2019
The source of the claim appears to be an Oct. 6, 2019, tweet by Jack Murphy, co-founder of conservative opinion outlet TrendingPolitics. Murphy's Twitter account was suspended along with the official account for TrendingPolitics in January, according to the website.

"Biden's son, Pelosi's son, Romney's son, Kerry’s son. All are on the board of directors for energy companies doing business in Ukraine… Coincidence? No," the tweet stated,

I saw a headline today and didn't get a chance to read the story and of course my shit for brains forgot where I saw it. Was there something reported about russian forces leaving certain areas near the border?

Could be a big flex to show the world they can mobilize forces, train and pull back. Might neber if had any intention of invading. Just flexin so Ukraine will never be invited into NATO.

That`s what spokesperson for RUS military said. There has not been visible movement yet. They are wrapping up drills in Belarus and supossedly finishing drills in Russia. Packing up, getting equipment on trains and returning to their bases. We`ll see. 3 days ago I saw video and pictures of tanks arraiving near border.

It has its issues, and a level of bias that is not really acceptable.
Truthfully in the world of clickbait and scrambling for views most media is pretty shit these days. But I blame the general society for not holding them to a better standard and just consuming all of the shit.

But yes, I trust the MSM media (especially when the stories have actual named sources and data) more than I trust memes on shitty Facebook pages, YouTube channels, Twitter accounts etc. The meme above is a perfect example. I guess it’s 25% correct and 75% an outright lie. Maybe that is acceptable these days?

However sadly even MSM you have to understand the bias it is coming from, and cut through it a bit.

My point stands, don’t get your news from unsourced memes. If you get your news from social media and anonymous memes, I would say the same to you, do some soul searching lad. 😂

OK, I am trying to be nice, but if you are listening to the MSM, I think you are being indoctrinated.

I've been soaking up all the live streams of the Canada convoy. Hours and hours of unedited video. I have yet to see a swastika or hate of any type. There are people there supporting the protest from all races. They're completely peaceful and friendly. Yet, Justin Trudeau and his MSM paint them as terrorists. It's really unbelieveable.
