Is this the new Honda curse? 250 team has been on the struggle bus, they lose ET3, AC9 is a shit show, Mechanical Failure may have just cost El Hombre a title hunt…..part of me can’t help but think this is Karma for ditching the MXDN a few year back.

Are we going to ignore the impact between Jason and Kenny right in the water pump, radiator hose region?

Looked like Roczen hit his foot peg, or maybe between the foot peg and rear brake pedal area.

I mean it’s the same problem on the same bike Eli had, especially if anything else compromised it it doesn’t seem to have head room for it. Also the stock 250s had clutch heat problems

The stock clutch definitely isn’t good but it’s not like that’s what they are running. It has to be a design flaw or something not allowing enough oil to cool the clutch.

Whatever the reason is, kawi looks bad right now. You lose Tomac and Anderson comes over and actually starts riding like hes the clear title favorite again. Then the bike doesnt even make it 3 rounds before shitting the bed. Idk what it was but they better make sure it doesnt happen again. They better be triple checking everything and then checking it again for the forseeable future. At this level things happen, but when things become a pattern you better get it handled quick.

As pumped as I was for Sexton to get back up top, it was nerve racking seeing Ando denied the fruition of his amazing riding to a mechanical of all things.

What in the actual shit is it with factory Kawi and their cooling issues?

Makes me think of that freaking massive oil cooler they had hanging off Elis bike in outdoors. Febvre also had a massive oil cooler as well in the gp’s, though a lot cleaner than Eli’s. Is any other team running these? I cant seem to remember seeing any other bikes but those two running these massive radiators, fans, and oil coolers. Looks like they know they have a cooling issue.

Elis massive freaking radiators with oil cooler fan combo (sideways makes no sense)

With a field this deep, 6 is the new 26. I’d be shocked if it was a hose. I can’t imagine Kawi running those plastic joints that come stock right? And they had a pretty damn beefy carbon gaurd over that water pump/lower hose area last year….

This fucking sucks for Anderson. And the issue with this Kawi Factory team is kinda undeniable at this point.

But the good news is that he's only 6 down. Definitely one of the riders that will fight for the title this year.

However if this happens again, its gonna be something all the keyboard warriors are gonna be all over. Bike probably needs more oil capacity to help with cooling for professional use.

I think he handled it well, i also think maybe from the way he rode the bike, it maybe looked like he had seen this issue before??? If thats the case, prolly not good.

A long time ago when times were great and action sports were differnt, polini made a 65 and the water pump impeller seal was terrible, they never revised it just updated the seal for a double lip seal instead of single lip seal.

Maybe its the same issue or something, the kawi bike looks as if it handles really well in supercross.
