I still have my '79 style Team Yamaha pants and jersey, and a '83 Ward style kawasaki jersey. Had a pair of the Champion boots back in ' 77, they were pretty good boots.
Always had the stitching turn loose on their gloves.

if you look at the current JT gear it wouldnt be too far a stretch for them to re-enter the MX/MTB market not to mention the protection equipment they offer could work as well with a little tweaking???

Sinisalo used to make a lot of JT's gear in the late 70's/ early 80's.

I know a shop in South Florida that as of last summer still had several sets of pants/jerseys/gloves on the rack for sale. It was the 1997 stuff from JT's last year in moto.

I wanted to grab some of it just for kicks but I was short on cash at the time.

Thats what I thought. A JT jockstrap, now thats CORE!

I think the JT and Fox stuff from the early to mid 80's looks better than the shit we get now. New helmets and boots look better, but old pants, jerseys, and gloves look better to me.

Rum's great but someone should bring the style and brand back... in my opinion... good thing I have a great collection and "if I had three wishes from a genie, I'd use one of them to do it" then I wouldn't need the other two wishes! ;-)

Back in '96 JT gave away a Pichon replica Pro Circuit splitfire kx125. I won it. John Gregory and Danny Dobe called me at work to tell me. For about a month Mr. Gregory would call me about once or twice a week to tell me the progress on my bike as Pro circuit was building it. He talked about getting into paintball and how expensive it was getting to sponsor pro riders. He asked me if I wanted the Chrome plastic that PC was running and of course I said yes. He tried to get it for me but Mitch Payton said it didn't last more than one race so I couldn't have it. My bike got here about 2 days before the Dallas supercross so Mr. Gregory asked me to not ride it so it could be presented to me on the track at the sx. I carried it up to Dallas but the promoters wanted $10,000 for that so it didn't happen. I did get all access passes and hung out in the procircuit pits all night. Then Mr. Gregory sent me riding gear, gear bag, chest protector, goggles and cool JT sunglasses which were not part of the bike giveaway. He was really cool and nice and I couldn't believe I was able to talk to him almost daily for a while. That was a really great experience.

I had a pair of the JT pants. Big JT across the butt. You had to have them in the 70's if you wanted to look good.

JT was the best!! They were my first gear sponsor

I remember back in 89' I won the Seattle Kingdome on my 60 during the pro intermission in front of like 30,000 people. A guy came up to me right before I went to the podium and presented me with some JT goggles and gear and asked if I wanted to ride for them. I was like...hell ya!! Those were some good times...I remember the Dogger and all the Bad Bones stuff. That was my favorite!!
