Is that a record?

Possibly. I think Larry Ward had a pretty long gap between wins but not exactly sure how long .

In the supercross series only, Mike LaRocco went 97 races from winning in Pontiac April 8, 1995 and not winning again until January 19, 2002 in Anaheim.

He went 64 total races from July 18, 1999 at Unadilla until January 19, 2002 at Anaheim between wins.

Not sure if that's the record but that's certainly a very long drought.

Wards winless streak went from Seattle February 17, 1990 to Tampa February 28, 1998.

I did not have the motivation to count the individual races in the Racer X vault.

I'll take a shot... For the next win the "time between wins" will be considerably less.

I can be wrong but I think Barcia has a larger gap, first win in 2013 rookie season second in 2019 A1.
