A buddy of mine has a low hour 2015 RMZ-250 that sat for a few years. He bought new in 2015. We attempted to get it running again so I cleaned the injector, drained the tank, and it started up in a few kicks. It idled for about 30 seconds and shut off and it has not run since. I have cleaned the injector again, verified spark, new plug, cleaned fuel filter, replaced fuel pump, checked valves, timing, hell through a top end in it, replaced condenser, changed fuel, damn near everything. Cannot get it to run. If anyone has any potential suggestions, please post them here. Thanks!

Verify the injector is still spraying fuel?

Ya, hook up injector to battery and ensure it is spraying consistently?

I’ve used on of These to test the injector and also clean them with the aerosol can adapter and some throttle body cleaner/carb cleaner.

I’d honestly go through the harness and verify there’s no shorts it’s time consuming but it’s free, clean all of the connectors of any corrosion. I kinda doubt it’s a bad stator or anything like that, I’d verify your fuel pump works as well with a 12v source.

Start super simple and work your way up the chain. You’ve replaced a lot of potential parts which is good but sometimes it’s the dumbest thing which causes issues.

Check fuel pressure. If it sat for a few years with ethanol fuel then it may gelled and clogged the pump when it ran for 30 secs

It ran before you started replacing everything, so nothing was "broken" previously. 30 seconds sounds like the time frame to run out of fuel which is contained ahead of some blockage. I concur with the others that you should check for a fuel supply or blockage issue just behind or in the injector.

Sorry guys, just getting back to this post. Injector works great on the bench, I installed a brand new fuel line, cleaned the filter, replaced the pump, and verified voltage at every connector from the tank to the injector.

Not keen on cleaning those filters , i would recommend a new filter.....with everything youve described so far it still sounds fuel related ....however, you say you installed a new top end....have you double and triple checked the timing?

Maybe I will try and order one - just frustrated with it at this point. And yes certain that timing is correct. I do a lot of bike work and never had this big of a troubleshooting issue

It should at least fire and at a minimum attempt to start with starting fluid provided it has spark.
