That is clearly to help with Comfort the AC separation. I separated my shoulder and broke the end of my collarbone in 83 at Lake Madera Golden State series. I raced 3 weeks later at Sunrise Cycle Park. My chest protector caused so much discomfort that I raced without it. I did not qualify for the main, the pain was so overwhelming. I am so impressed with how well Adam did.
