Not sure if this is the right forum, but i've always wondered what the production process of mx gear is. I've seen some vids on YT on dye sublimation for jerseys, but nothing on pants production.
So, anybody know of a decent "how its made" YT vid on mx pants?

I know nobody's trying to hide it, not even saying it's a bad thing, but maybe the trendy big money gear co's don't want to keep reminding everyone they're made in China or Indonesia or wherever for pennies?

Maybe Rennen or one of the US-made company's would be keen for something like this.

On a tangent and just out of interest, or maybe just to expand on the subject, what / whose gear, helmets boots etc is made where nowadays?

You call up a chinese pants factory and have them whip the children when they dont sew on your logo fast enough

When I rode for Answer in the 80's, they made the pants, jerseys etc. right there in Valencia, Ca. Got a tour of the facility and it was cool to see where and how your gear is - was being made. No children in the facility. Still have some pants that were made back then, some never worn!

Also bars, silencers, exhaust was made at the main location.

Eddy, Stella, Rod, Cindy, Roger and others.... good peeps!

I was doing some laundry the other day, and I noticed a bunch of my snowboard (local Michigan board manufacturer) shirts were made by canvas. Thought that was really cool. My favorite fitting/feeling shirts by a mile, so I’m looking forward to Canvas being my next gear sets when that time comes.

The thor gear from like 06-07 was made in china and that shit is bullet proof. chinese gear can be durable. Most bulletproof gear I ever had was made in vietnam, a set of AXO gear from 2010 when they relaunched in the USA market. It lasted me 11 years and still has life left, but is getting long in the tooth now. As an aside, anyone know how durable the 'elite' line from answer is. Looking for a set of durable backup gear to my oneal hardwear. I run gear for 3-5 years so I like the heavy, durable stuff.

I understand your point on the foreign factories, but i'm just curious what the process in designing and producing that stuff is 😃

I have the O’Neal Hardware and O’Neal Airwear; and it’s the best gear I’ve ever had. Extremely durable, and just fits perfect feels super high quality.

may have to give the airway a try then. Hardwear is for sure mid 2000s and before quality of gear but colors and styles are limited, which is frustrating
