Malibu would be the 1st choice with Beverly Hills a close 2nd.

Do it! I had the chance straight out of high school in 87 and pussed out. Fast forward 30 ish years later to 2017 I made the move and love every minute of it. This coming weekend I am going moto one day and snowboarding the next, both a hour and half ish from my door that is 3.5 miles from Laguna Beach. It’s a dreamland, it’s expensive (area dependent) but worth every penny to be able to do what you want, when you want. Very, very few, weather days that keep you indoors.

Do it. Saturday was my 33rd day spent riding this year. I get to surf a couple times a week when it’s decent and live 10 minutes from the beach. Concerts and parties are there any weekend I’m not riding. It’s not the cheapest place live but if you prioritize what you care about it’s not bad at all and there is more fun stuff to do then time to do it.

Hot summers out here in Riverside. Make sure you like 100⁰ F for 6 months out of the year.

Lived in Hermosa and Redondo in my teens in 82/83/87 and it was absolutely paradise.

Nice @brocster - I also live in Aliso Viejo. Alittle further out for some tracks, but definitely a great place to live

We ended up in Aliso by chance and love it. Wasn’t my idea of what I had in mind when talking moving to Southern California, its pretty damn cool nonetheless. Little far out far the tracks but being from South Louisiana driving and hour or more to get to a track was the norm for me. If you ever want to ride MTB’s or grab a beer at Stadium Brewing look me up.

As a Murrieta local since 2003, Menifee/Lake Elsinore/Perris are cheaper options for housing.

Temecula is too crowded/busy but that's where we go to eat/have a drink in town which is less than 10min.

In my opinion the best zip code to live in for riding is 92562 which is one of the Murrieta zip codes. Easy access to 2 freeways, 15 & 215. You're 25 minutes to Pala/State Fair & Perris, 15min to Elsinore, 1h to Glen Helen. 1h to San Diego (not at 7-8am though), 45min-1h to the beach in Oceanside & Carlsbad.

I've been in this area since 22 years and being still in the industry, I wouldn't live anywhere else than Murrieta/92562.

I'm gonna jump in here, too. I'm also moving to SoCal (north side of LA) next month. What do I need to do to get my dual sport registered?

From what I can tell from the CA DMV site, "Unlike cars or trucks, motorcycles do not require a smog check before registration". So can I take it across the country and just get it plated just like that, no inspection or emissions? Somehow I doubt it's that easy...

WPS in Boise is always hiring. they even have a track on site and a VIP setup with OMC.
