Hey all I was hoping you could help me with this bike. I found it a couple weeks ago on the side of the road for sale but I never pulled the trigger on it. Low and behold it popped back up for sale, I guess the guy went on vacation. Any ways when I first stopped to check the bike out it didn’t look awful but it definitely has been neglected for a while. The seller came out and said he pulled it out of a shed where it had been for quite some time. Also that it started right up, pipe was cold and it actually started in like a kick or two. Any idea what these are going for? Thanks in advance!

Keith

The shock is worth 500 alone. The bike as whole maybe 1500. Takes easily 1k to restore.

Well the brakes are shot on it and he won’t let you putt around to see how the transmission is, so I guess my biggest concern is whether or not these are known to have issues in the trans? Thanks again for the feedback.

Did they make rear shocks for those bikes or is it a universal part?

Here is my 87/125 . The sky is the limit on how nice you want to make it and your intended use.

I wish you wouldn’t of shown that 😂, I’m sold on it now. Outstanding example. The guy wants 1500 but said he’d do 1200 but that was 2 weeks ago. I might go offer something a bit closer to 1k

Thx Man it was. I stacked 2 and tried 3 base gaskets trying to move the gnarly
Midrange up. Porting was for hill climbs I added the DG pipe. My 1st race was a full gate in 125 a I won the 1st moto. In 92 I raced the vintage class it was stacked with 500,s . Deep sand track I got 2nd in the 1st moto. A dude on a Maico beat me. The cr500,s roost was like looking into a open fire hydrant of sand. I never had the wrist pin bearing blow on mine. Probably because I followed the manual every 10 hrs I changed the top end.

I am in Michigan and wish you were a lot closer! It seems the guy pulled the bike and decided to keep it so onto the next

I would offer him 1k. You will dump 1k in the bike in no time. Even though it has a ohlins chances are it will need to be rebuilt. Are you wanting to ride it or just fix it up and sell it ?

I was going to fix the water pump/case issue and ride it until I decide to restore it. He took the bike down and won’t return any calls so I’m sure he decided to keep it but my plan was to come in at the 8-1000 range. If he puts it back up I’ll snag it up. Honesty I have a bigger bike,15’ yz250F, and through goofing off on my nephews Ktm 65 I remembered how much fun a lighter bike is. Lol I can’t get away with a 65 so I figured id start at another 125. Plus you can ring its guts out and that’s always fun.
