You guys were paying $300 for rainbow colored engine mount brackets? Did they come with handjobs?

The rainbow color is from the snake oil they are covered in

You’ll never convince me that rigid engine mount flex at 2 of the three points are what is holding people back from taking the W or whatever is the measure of your progress

Does it really matter what the product is? It could be handlebar streamers for all it matters.

You have your opinion and have every right to be wrong.

On the flip side of all of this, I did actually just receive my mounts from Scot that I had ordered on March 9th. I had my own post kicked to the Dumbgeon as well about ML and him ghosting me as well, finally saw Scot's email address in your post and after a week or so got everything straightened out and the mounts to my door.

I out them on my 18' RM-Z 450 yesterday and rode quick on our turn track a single jump behind my house. It's not a fair comparison because I also installed a set of soft bar mount bushings from Applied at the same time, but what a difference. Our turn track is rock hard and has a bunch of small, square edged braking bumps that are usually super jarring. Obviously there was less shock in the bars, but the whole bike felt more planted as it was driving into corners. Granted, it's probably just in my head because I've had 6 friggin months to think about these things since I ordered them, but so far I'm happy, and still spent less than the FCP mounts and really didn't need all the Ti anyways

I don't know ML personally but I have talked to him at the track a few times and he is a great guy and loves dirt bikes.

This situation I am sure this is the ML admitted case of being over his head. It's easy for everyone to "woulda shoulda coulda" but sometimes when you are overwhelmed and in the situation you are just putting out fires and $300 dollar engine mounts might have not been the biggest fire over that last month's that this was going on in his world.

It sucks that everyone had to deal with it and from what little I do know about ML he will make it back up to all involved. In 6 months from now we will be giving him props for seeing all this through.

So there is one small detail on here that I believe I was wrong about that I wanted to clear up:

Earlier in the middle of this whole debacle, I reported how Scot moved from FCP to start WCL with ML as a partner (true), with Scot handling the parts while ML was handling the business end of things (true).

With ML saying he was stepping away and Scot saying he was trying to recover his companies image, it came across like Scot was the primary owner and ML was under him, especially with Scot being the brains behind product design (not true).

Apparently ML was indeed the primary owner with Scot as a partner who took over after ML left. This would explain why Scot didn’t have financial or order access from ML in the beginning.

This means that ML wasn’t stealing from Scot’s company. Was he using the funds from that to sponsor the team? Idk the exact details, all I know is Scot had no money in the account to issue refunds once he had access.

It seems like a small detail with how blown out the drama was/is, but that detail was a HUGE mistake on my part so I felt I needed to take the responsibility of coming on here to clear that up and say I was wrong about that one detail. It appears what happened is whatever was happening @ FCP was screwing them both over, so ML left to start WCL and Scot joined him.

I wanted to come here to say I was wrong and at least get that portion of it out there.

Anyway, hope everyone involved is getting things sorted out and taken care of.
