I'm watching it right this very minute. I guess I'm an even bigger idiot than I thought, because I see trees, a little grass, mountains in the background, and what looks like nice fairly nice structures.

I think it's time I just stopped thinking altogether and just started nodding my head in agreement at whatever you guys tell me to think.

I was thinking the same thing.

Out of all the beautiful tracks and top notch facilities in this country, it blows my mind that we have to watch 2 rounds at that shitbag parking lot track.

Both GH and Pala are terrible places to attend a race if you're ready to bitch about dust, sunshine, and lack of lush scenery.

Both are amazing places if you want to watch the best in the USA do their thing on a track with conditions that the average weekend warrior like me would be puckered AF to ride a single lap.

Even the prettiest track of all time in southern CA, Zaca Station, was brown and dusty during these summer months. California is a fuggin desert amidst a 20 year drought.

As a race fan and Southern California native, I could do without seeing 2 Pala rounds, and 6 Anaheim's every year, but that's how the cookie crumbles and the industry is/was mostly based out here. That being said... I have seen a lot of amazing tracks in Florida, Texas, and even North Carolina that are way more scenic, have better dirt for racing, and most likely less traffic in and out of the facilities.. hopefully someday we will see some new tracks on the schedule, until then Im going to enjoy the races.

You seem so positive the races aren’t at Freestone because of the heat and not because it’s a flat 85cc track in a field

If its a flat 85 track in a field, why did Stew and Dungey have a 30 second lead over 3rd when they had their epic battle and lapped inside the top 15. Shouldn't any top 20 pro be able to hang with the top riders on such an easy track. Freestone gets gnarly rough and rutted, its not a flat 85 track in a field.

Regarding California and Texas tracks. As a long time industry employee, I have brought several SoCal brand managers to visit Texas tracks. Many of them would be foaming at the mouth when we would pull up to a track. It wasn't the elevation that got them excited, it was the loamy dirt.

BTW, I raced the Moto Masters Series at 3 Palms today. Was 96 degrees with 75 percent humidity. Feels like temp was around 105. It was brutal.

Word. I raced Sunday in the 2 stroke championship. Sheeeesh it was hot, track was awesome tho. 3 palms ruts up very nice, lots of loamy dirt/sand mixed in. It holds moisture so well. Personally I’d take a deep sandy style track over that hard pack BS the west coast cali tracks consist of any day of the week. Elevation change is cool but if it’s all hard pack, what’s the point🤮

Lining up between Kyle Swanson and AMA super bike racer Kaleb Dekeyrel was fun. Those guys can rip.

The hills in the back weren’t man made lol they’re real. That’s a hell of a lot more elevation than freestone
Freestone sits on top of a hill. If you have ever been there you would know. You just can’t see because the tress cover the view.
