Snapping Spoke

I have a 2020 YZF450 and the same spoke has snapped 3 times, (the one next to the rim lock) on the front wheel. Each time I replace it with a genuine spoke and nipple and do not overtighten it, can't see any issues with the rim lock or rim.

Anyone had this issue, any ideals what could cause it?

Id make sure the wheels radial and axial runout is what its supposed to be and see if the wheel lock is tweaking the rim just a little too much

KB covered it. Only thing I can add is that the spokes all have to work together. Are all the other spokes tightened properly? If the rim lock spoke is loose you shouldn’t just tighten that one. There are tutorials on the internets. Basically get a starting point like the rim lock. Tighten that spoke, skip two, tighten third. Continue around the wheel tightening no more than a quarter turn for each spoke. It should take three revolutions. Repeat if some still need tightening. That procedure will keep the wheel true and all the spokes sharing the load. Good luck.

Where does it snap? If at the hub, make sure there's no bur or anything stressing the spoke, and that the hole isn't wallowed out. Are you putting a little oil on the friction points at hub and rim, and anti-seize on the threads?

I would put liquid wrench on each spoke and buy a spoke torque wrench. As well as check the wheel for round. Harbor freight has a stand for balancing a motorcycle wheel that would be very helpful.

Thanks dude, the wheel does seem a bit out of true so I will look into that some more.

Thanks dude, I could be going wrong here as I just tightened them in order, watching some videos online seems like I'm doing it the wrong way each time.

Snaps half way inside the nipple each time, leaving some thread stuck in the nipple and a little bit on the spoke it's self.
