Youre right I am confused. I guess clutching a dirt bike to get the correct power delivery and being in the right gear is not part of the sport. Thanks for clarifying. I cant wait for it to be even easier for a beginner rider to just twist the throttle and Jump 100', its going to be so great for the "so called sport." And screw all those engine builders and pipe builders, they can just learn to code with the coal miners.

Youre missing the point, a BMX bike has as much in common with a current dirt bike as an E bike. Yes, they have two wheels, but what produces the power is different and therefore is a different sport.
Its only "part of the sport" because that's what you currently are used to having to do. Its way safer on the Alta having smooth, consistent power and never having to worry about missing a shift or being in the "right gear". When i let people take my Alta for a few laps, its amazing seeing how quickly they become comfortable on the bike. And that's true for novice riders on up to local pros. Just had a local A class rider who shreds a YZ250 2-stroke ride it yesterday and he was blown away at how good the bike is. Raved about how stable and balanced it was, how well it handled, and loved the power. He felt confident enough by his 2nd lap on the main track at Fox Raceway to be jumping everything and by the 3rd lap he was spinning similar lap times as he does on his bike. Confidence is safety in our sport.

Yep. I might add that disc brakes have ruined the "so called sport". And screw all those companies who produced and perfected drum brake technology, they can just learn to code with the coal miners.

Is rekluse ruining our sport too?
If we would all be forced to use them one day, then I'd say it would be very unfortunate, although you can ride a bike exactly the same with or without it if you choose to. A clutch is a very important safety feature in my opinion and I think e-bikes should have them regardless of what the Alta owners have to say about it.

Kicking myself for not getting an EXR back in 2019 when I had the chance.

AJ just got one and is in love with it:

Thanks for the video..that was awesome!
Its getting really frustrating not being anle to buy an EMX bike...I was so hoping we would have at least seen one from KTM by now...yes I know about their freeride bike..but nout really an EMX specific bike , affordable or available in my country..
Surely some manufacturer has gotta break cover soon?

Personally I like the sound of 2 and 4 stroke bikes tearing around a track and the revs at the start line.

Though it would be quite funny if SX was all on electric bikes, hearing the ooomf when people crash and hit the ground (I at least make this sound when I crash) and the "MOVE THE F$%# OUT THE WAY" instead of sitting on the limiter behind someone letting them know you're in their way.

The bike AJ bought wasn't just any electric dirt bike, it was fully street legal which is why I wanted it.

I love the sound of the Alta in mode 4, it winds up in a very audible way.

2 strokes were wrecked by 4 stroke production rules and the same will inevitably happen to 4-strokes when electric bikes eventually come to market.

Also surprised none of the manufacturers have one given the popularity and success of the Alta.
