Hi guys, I have a kx250 1993 which all of a sudden lost spark.

However the day after I had spark again? But from then on I haven’t been able to have a spark.

So I have changed the following, stator has been professional repaired, new CDI, new coil, new plug.

I am lost and really need some guidance on where to look next.

Thank you Adam

I would presume you have done the obvious and tried a different spark plug, it just sounds more like a short somewhere or simply a bad connection in one of the wiring plugs, just check inside one of the plugs for a burnt connection pin or something that looks like it's been arking out. I once had a KTM 250 with intermittent spark issues and turned out I had a bad connection with the cdi, I found a burnt pin in the plug, clearly it wasn't connecting properly so I just used a little screw driver bent the pin a fraction and problem solved. Good luck, I hate electrical problems.

Sounds like you have covered most of the parts that could be in question
but the wire harness might be the issue.

I ran into this issue last week and the wiring was the issue. Smashed wires from the seat
on the frame.

Check grounds. And all connections. Wires may be frayed on that age of bike

Hi guys, I’ve checked all the following and it’s all fine. I’m getting 4 volts from the stator and 4 volts at the HT lead. The only part I haven’t replaced is the flywheel, maybe it’s lost some magnetism over the years…? So I’ve ordered another and I’ll keep you all updated how that goes. Unless anyone understands a reason why I’m not getting around 12 volts? The stator has been fully repaired so can’t be that.

the stator has been repaired? that never works, get a used one that checks out, never mind volts you need the ohm readings to properly check the stator

If the voltage is low then it is telling you that it is the problem. It should be about 12 volts as I recall. What does your manual show? Double check all grounds including engine mounts to the frame.
