Bike has a fresh engine rebuild top and bottom end. New carburetor. My old one had a 37.5 idle jet. Bike has a dnd fatty and gytr silencer. Ok so I have never tuned a bike before and I want to learn. The bike idles and for a little then it will die on its own and if I try to hit the gas to wake it back up it will bog. Help and suggestions? Do I need to speed up my idle? Should I put my 37.5 pilot jet back in?

What jetting do you have in it now?

Stock it’s a new carb didn’t touch anything on it. Just took it out the box and put it on

As of now it will idle for a sec when it’s cold and warmed up it won’t idle at all

To tune a 125 correctly, it should almost idle. Then have the engine die. Purpose is for engine braking going into corners. If your bike ran great with a 37.5 pilot, put it back in. Pilot jet is for zero to 1/4 throttle, then jet needle takes over 1/4 to 3/4 throttle. Main jet is for 3/4 to wo. Air screw adjustment is for throttle response.

I have the idle adjusted. How much oil is considered too much coming out of the exhaust? I rode around for not even 2 minutes got up to 3rd and stopped. I have a Richer gas mixture than 32:1 because It’s being broken in
