The stock aer48 was never confidence inspiring. Always wanted to wash out. I’m 195# with gear and was running 130# with 32 out on compression to make it ride half decent on trails. Corey also said the KYB conversion is on back order until June.
Just thought I’d comment and throw some info out. When I get mine I’ll be sure to comment on how they ride.
Adding 25cc didn’t change much for me in terms of travel/bottoming.

That was my only time using Protune but have used others in the past.
My biggest observation about not being happy with a suspension revalve (may not apply to you) is telling the tuner you're faster than you really are so then the set up is too stiff or harsh.
He has to revalve a set of WP Pro inserts for a guy I know for the same issue.
Another buddy of mine just ordered a set of Pro inserts so I will see how they turn out.
The MXT canned setting for offroad with Luckies is way too stiff for any slow speed stuff. That’s why I went to Corey so he could valve them for me personally.
I don’t know if they are too soft or heavy but the forks definitely don’t feel plush especially into braking bumps.
The new Carbon CC Lucky's have almost no glowing reviews, and a lot of setup issues. Not Plush.
The original's are sold out almost all the time. Carbon's ready to deliver. Not much different than every other CC fork, never seen anyone ask a tuner to make them more firm. Always the other way. I'd say if you aren't racing for a living do yourself a favor and get the originals.
The price point and weight is till market leading on both, but the competition has been improving. Dal Saggio's, Ohlin's, Lanier and other's are all a bit more pricey. Many expect the original setup to need personalized valving, but the originals seemed to be an exception to that rule.
A very high level summary:
C-B Speed-Technical Riding, More Enduro than MX - Gen1
B-A Speed, More MX Than Enduro - Gen2 Carbon.
The carbons are there for faster riders and have additional bottoming resistance and an altered huck valve design. Definitely set up for riders on the throttle in the mind. For my 350, I had the same complaints and went with Epica Cartridges. Love them.
Corey is great and "local" to me and did my 2502T. Brian at N2D was also amazing to work with and did my Epica. He is a huge seller and bragger for MX Tech products too. You can give him a call for the MX Tech and the right setup for you
Pit Row
I’m still waiting for Corey to send me a new base stack but he has not answered my daily texts for over a week now.
Both set ups are great and can be tuned anyway needed. Carbons tend to have a bit more hold up then gen 1 kind of like showa vs kyb in feel. BUT that is heavily dependent on how they are valved. I have had both and both performed the same because they were valved for how i want them to work. It is beyond important to just like with any suspension set up to be clear what yoy want the suspension to do and how you want it to feel. I always tell people by the time your done explaining to ur tuner what you need you should feel like you just told them your life story.
