This is something worth looking into. There are literally 1000's of 2T mx riders out there. If there was a series for a national title run at each outdoor event they will come compete for a title. A full 12 round series. There will also be a huge influx of 2 stroke purist spectators rocking up. It will be the boost MX needs.

The politics and red tape need to be cut ASAP. I can only see positives come out of this.

Paging DC.....

DC isn’t going to show up at all. He has already addressed this issue more than once. As much as I want 2 strokes back, I can’t see it happening. Just my 2 cents worth.

I’ve been hollering at people about a 2 stroke nationals series for atleast 5 years. Everyone seems to think it’s a stupid idea.

I think it would be sweet. Doesn’t have to be anything huge either just 12 nationals at some sweet tracks

Why does it have to be on the weekends of and coincide with the Lucas Oil MX Nationals? For years we had 4 Stroke Nationals as an abbreviated series that ran independently of the National MX Series. Any entrepreneurial spirit can line up some sponsorships and contact some venues and create the series that we all think the people want. If it is true that people want it, and the series is ran well, it would flourish.

Yeah exactly, the races don’t have to be at the nationals. Have 125 a,b,c and beginner, 125 jr, 18-25, 30,35,40,45,50,55, etc. maybe 250% payout out for 125 a. Double points for a moto win, extra motivation to win. Radio is the best advertising, just have the sound of a start. People here it driving to work and say, I,m checking that out this weekend.

I would prefer to just run 50,65,85, supermini 125,250,500? 30+ and 50+ keep the day shorter to allow longer motos (no skill based classes since it’s the 2 stroke pro national)

Practice/ qualifying Saturday race on Sunday

Run amateur classes on Thursday or Friday?

One of these day MX sports is going to lose the nationals to a more progressive organization who is more open to change, it happens in all forms of business. You need to adapt and be aware of what your customers want or you get pushed aside and left behind.

Add in a 15 minute 125 moto at each round! Make it an official championship! Allow equal displacement 2 strokes in the 250 and 450 class. We might get a few 300's in the 450 class and a few more 250 2 strokes in the 250 class. Fans would actually pay attention to those riders that might otherwise never get noticed.
Just a few ideas DC will school me on and be nice while saying no.... or maybe he mixes it up!! Either way I'm going riding, the 4 stroke and the 2 stroke will get some work in today!

One thing I do really like about the nationals is that the 250 class is a full blown national championship class and not the lame 250 east vs 250 west bullshit. The 250 class is NOT a stepping stone class in SX its a full blown factory rider class that needs to be one class all year long like the nationals.
