I would personally love to see it! For those who have little faith. Just remember James could keep RC on his toes on his KX250 during some of the 2005 Nationals. Now that James has Aldon Baker and the fitness of an Iron Man. I have total faith he could come out and smoke the field on a Factory YZ 250… I personally miss the days of him running a 2-smoke to the limit – thus I would love to see it again.

Just think of how crazy the fans go over a privateer running 35th on a 2-stroke. Now imagine the reaction of James on one!!!

I would love to hear him on a 2 stroke one more time. For the exact same reason you mentioned. It would be sick to hear him scream one wide open around the whole track.

Let's hope he doesn't have the same opinion that Chad was quoted having in RX this month, "I loved two-strokes, but then you go and ride them and they really aren't as fun as you remember them."
He did say he hated his 05 Kx250 more than any other bike he ever rode. But, then I'm pretty sure I read Malcom was racing pretty much his old bike last summer.

It seems to me with James schedule being about the fans and what not, he would prob be open to the idea if his sponsors were behind it. Is Yamaha making a 2010 model? If they are it would be a feather in the cap for advertising to 2 stroke enthusiasts.

I would LOVE to see it! James said he would give up riding before he would ride something like the last KX 2-stroke he had. He rode that bike well and pparently it was a P.O.S.! So he should FLY on the Yamaha.

Really I could care less. If anything I would be more interested in seeing James ride a YZ 125 against the field.

i wish there wasnt so much political bullshit involved, i see it not happening because yamaha would be in fear of a inferior 250 2-stroke beating superior 450fs, thus sending everything into a big shit storm, as well as other manufactures i cant imagine they would be to kind to watch "old" technology fly past there 100k bikes

I've been pushing to see that for quite a while. I wouldn't mind just seeing him on a YZ 125 just turning laps.

I can only imagine that if Stewart actually stated that about his Factory SR250 race bike (in a serious manner)that it would highlight his inability to test and set up a bike. After all, it was a factory racebike set up specifically for him and tested by him. Of course, seeing him struggle the first few rounds at SX this year would lead one to believe the same.

And that wasn't a dig at Stewart either. More than one champion wasn't real good at testing and setup.

Why was he riding the 2 stroke at Milestone Park? Just fun or promoting Yz 250?

It would be fun to watch James spank the field on a bone stock YZ250.. To see him scrub a 2 stroke again would be worth it!!

I'm sure 100% of his fans would agree.
Let's see James on a YZ250 at the nationals!
I'm all for it!

I'd pay double for a ticket.

Otherwise, I have no intention to go at all.
