I was chasing a pc stinger tip amd couldnt find anything so i modifeid a modern one.

Thought I'd share a few a pics to those interested in doing the same

Nice work - so satisfying to do stuff like that.

I remember in 1978 making a very similar one for an after market pipe on my YZ80D, after I lost the original while riding.
I used a piece of push bike handle bar for the actual stinger - simpler days.

A racing friend got cut really bad by the old tip. Went into his thigh in a first turn crash. Asked that tip with flesh.

I got caught up in a first turn pileup and I got sucked into the real wheel of bike in front of me ('94 CR125). He had the stock silencer on it and it burned through my pants and into my thigh. I still have a nice ring scar that looks like a brand. Haha

Got my arm cored like an apple when a CR250 landed on it, tip first.

Also seen people crash, get up and bike would not start because the tip was clogged solid with dirt and no amount of finger poking was going to get it out.
