Hi everyone, very recently I had a very weird problem with my 2011 kx250f which I covered in this post: https://thumpertalk.com/forums/topic/1364770-2011-kx250f-fuel-problem/

TLDR of that post: Bike ran amazing, Wanted to fix easy oil leak, took off fuel tank completely, took off valve cover and nothing else, added sealant to o ring right below valve cover to prevent oil leak from weep hole, reassembled fully, doesn't run right, misfire? didn't change/mess with anything to cause a problem like this but here we are.

BUT I believe I found the problem which was the two throttle cables leading down to the fuel injector were very loose (I noticed this days ago but I thought it was a adjustment and not to mess with it) but after thinking about it I decided to tighten it up and start it up, then bike runs perfectly but for about 30 seconds then goes back to running like crap, like how it was before..... but definitely major improvement and I don't know where to go from here... new throttle cables idk? Any suggestions on what to do?

Take it back to the guy who rebuilt it!? Could be a clogged pump or injector.

I maybe would have checked valve clearence? I never owned any KX's but my 06-09 YZ's would run totally fine then out of nowhere would not want to run at all. It was a valve adjustment every time. I could be completely off. Just throwing in my crappy 2c.

Moving the fuel tank could have dislodged debris in the fuel line and now the injector could be partially clogged.

Could be time for a new spark plug cap. You can test it with a multimeter.

Or maybe this is not the problem at all. Blink

Fuel supply issue imo. Start with checking all the filters in the fuel system

Turns out it was the throttle cables being loose and the RTV in the spark plug hole grounding out the spark or some shit
