My club put on the Alligator Enduro the Thursday of Bikeweek in Daytona. It was a great success but we went out and did some riding Saturday. Holy crap, I had some fun just turning laps on the grass track section. The track was well burned in so there was traction galore. Had more fun on a dirt bike than I have in a long time.

Got off my bike and tried a CRF250 that was lowered 2+ inches for a shorter rider and sprung way too soft for me and had even more fun. The amount I could lay that midget bike over in a corner was unreal and the traction was like you would imagine on an old Fox "Dream On" poster. Just going fast as hell and flowing.

Of course I get done and think it was so fun not being stressed about racing or having to worry about a jump that may make me nervous or t-boning a tree. The next thought of course is I start wishing there was someone who did a grasstrack race. lol

I may actually try to convince my club to put one on at our property. We have a lot of land that is basically pasture for cows and horses. Who wouldn't love the idea of a low pressure race that is focused on just having fun? Silly team races etc.

That sounds fantastic! Like a giant turn track. That'd be a blast.

Most people don't really care to race a grass track other than the old Unafuckin-dilla. Races are around. I included a video from 2014 that I go to every year.

I have a grass track in my back yard, yet knowbody wants to ever ride it but me and my wife.

We have a lot of Grass tracks & Barley Stubbles here in Ireland. Its a brilliant way to introduce kids & beginners into the sport. They can learn the basics without fearing getting wrecked on a tripple stepdown! The top riders here also love them because there great for corner speed. My family run a track in the summer to give the kids a place to ride & learn.
