Who of the freeride guys do you think is/would be the fastest if they chose to apply themselves and race the Supercross/Motocross series? Seems like there are some crazy talented riders that are perfectly happy riding Ocotillo rather than pounding laps all week long at the practice track.

If they are at Ocotillo it's because probably they tried the practice track but were not fast enough/didn't want to put the work in.
I could be at a test track hoping to be someone one day but i like to have fun throwing some fat whips and winning some random local races.

He said he is racing the Texas rounds, so does he count?

Hadn't heard that. Thought he was taking the year off to be with his family. As well he should, being the only pro rider in the history of the sport to have a family.

Lots of them have pro racing backgrounds. If we count TB as the fastest freerider we can just throw in Cole Seeley to it and call it a day.

If we are talking non MX riders who are not Ex Pro's, retired or don't ride a dirtbike for a living...Moto GP rider Jack Miller is a weapon if any one has seen him ride his privet SX track under lights on his instagram or him and Toby Price race around a MX track together.
Dude can throwdown and has so much style

Most of the riders listed above are all ex pro's hahaha
As listed above,If your saying TB and Hill etc... Then Cole Seely takes the cake.

Definitely Seely. If you don't count him as a true "freerider," then I'd go with Durham.

Or he could be an adult like everyone else with a family and a job. But yeah let’s coddle him more, I mean Tampa 2018 what more do we have to say?

You’re right, Josh is racing. Damn, I can’t get those two straight.

I was about to mention that. I assumed we were talking about riders that never made it in racing but made it in freeriding.

Funny thing is we will never know the answer unless they line up and race.

I think the better question is, of all the current freeride/FMX guys, which ones have actually grew up without ever riding mx or sx? Any guys out there on either side of the pond or Australia, grew up just hitting ramps and bags and made a decent living from? I honestly cannot think of any

I think the only two notable people I can think of that have never held a "pro card" would be Brett Que and Axell Hodges?

Maybe Jake Gagne. Pro Road race champ. Did one national and was running like 15th till a late crash in first moto with factory Yamaha as a favor to him.

Colby Raha and Justin Mulford. Both never raced pro but have some legit skill on the track. Colby especially, I remember see a video of him riding a supercross track tripling into rhythms and skimming whoops.

You probably scared all the other riders off the track! They couldn't handle the ego-crushing speed.

The title of this should be changed from Non-Racer to ex racer.
