Ken starts every season fast then has a tendency to fade. Eli starts slow then has a tendency to build speed. Ken may very well win it this season but I’d prefer to watch all the races before we crown him champ.

Kenny obv gelling with the 21 CRF. More forgiving chassis leads me to believe he’s got more in the tank at the end also. Win win.

Lets not get carried away with writing Tomac off...

2017 1st four races: 5 6 8 1 = 69 Pts, down by 20
2017 Races 5-15: 1 15 1 2 1 1 1 1 1 2 1

2018 1st four races: 22 DNF 1 1 = 53 Pts down by 36
2018 Races 5-15: 13 22 1 1 3 2 1 15 1 1 2

2019 1st four races: 3 4 3 4 = 80 Pts down by 3
2019 Races 5-15: 1 6 12 1 6 1 4 3 4 1 1

2020 1st four races: 7 4 1 2 = 84 Pts down by 8
2020 Races 5-15: 1 4 1 1 4 1 1 2 1 3 3

2021 1st four races: 13 1 5 2 = 77 Pts down by 9

He is in about the same place as last year.

2020 Tomac was a different more mature Tomac and it led to the championship. 2021 Tomac (dad, champion and settled for life) seems even more mature, honest and less obscure. It's hard to predict but it seems like we're gonna have less Beast (checkers or wrecked) mode and more of a Brayton/Dungey (ish) Tomac. He might not even win the most SX races in the year and might not even win 12 more races in his pro life.

Roczen wants it more than the rest and sure looks poised but he will have Webb always right there to take advantage and Tomac will peak as the season unfolds. Tuesday can't come sooner enough.

Yeah I’m still going with the guy who’s won almost 40 Sx races the last 4 or 5 years.

Ken looks great to start the season like he always does. Nothing new here. Time will tell if he doesn't fade this season. He looks so winded on the podium vs Tomac who's not even sweating.

That 3 way battle early in the race was pretty cool. If Roczen would have had the holeshot he would have buried those guys though. Ac was just fast enough to stay ahead. He really seemed to fade after he got passed though.

First time this year I've seen the real ET out there. Fastest in Quali, Holeshot the main and battled for the win. Welcome to the party Eli!

I am not the only one to have seen that on the podium.

Judging by the last couple of years, Tomac is doing better than usual and Roczen's results are pretty typical. Kenny always seems to start off strong, but can never quite close the deal due to mid/late season troubles. So the real question is when does the mystery illness flare up again and when do we start hearing the excuses? I'd say around Daytona which should also be right about the time Tomac takes control of the championship.

This is well put. In the 450 main podium it sure sounded like they were actually enjoying the race. To me, that was as big of a take away on the night as the intense competition.

I’m a huge Tomac and Roczen fan. Would love to see Roczen get a SX championship in the Honda.
