One of my longtime riding buds is a retired commercial Pilot and has offered to take me up in a Bi-plane. I've seen this guy crash his dirtbike harder and more times than anyone I know.

I have a strong feeling he would pull a Vietnam Vic episode with me and I don't have a strong stomach Sick for spinning upside down rides and have turned him down....Grinning

but yea that was a great clip from Keefer!

That was funny. My best friend does aerial photography from helicopters. Years ago he asked me if I wanted to go with him that day and I had never been in a helicopter so I said sure. He told his pilot that I raced motocross so I was “good”. Didn’t know why he said that until we were up in the air over the job site and the pilot said “Okay, let’s have some fun.” He basically turned the helicopter off and we started falling in a slow spin canted sideways. As this is going on, my friend is leaning out of the chopper to take the photo he needed. The pilot used the fall to like bump start the helicopter back up, straightened the chopper back up and started to regain the altitude we lost. I didn’t puke but I damn near shit my pants.
I had a friend once that went up in a helicopter with his girlfriend and her mom to spread her fathers ashes. Mom opened the door and went to throw them out and the downdraft of the blades blew all the ashes back into the cockpit! He looked around and everyone looked like they had just got done rolling in the campfire! He thought the mom was gonna have a meltdown!

I obviously don't know your buddy, but most guys won't intentionally make someone sick. After all, nobody wants to clean puke out of the plane. I've always slowly progressed through maneuvers, explained what we're going to do first and while we're doing it, and constantly ask if the passenger is ok. Unfortunately, most don't realize they are going to get sick until it's too late. Once you've crossed that "i don't feel so good" threshold, you can't get on the ground quick enough. Take him up on the offer, though! He'll probably let you fly, and you're a lot less likely to feel shitty if you're in control.

So when you flew the photographer over the Stewart compound, you constantly asked if they were ok?

Yep, you don't know him is right, he is borderline crazy imo and even though he is 65 and SHOULD know better it seems he doesn't mind CRASHING his dirtbike. I know he's had a few concussions.

Here is an example of when he tried to get INTIMATE with a JUMPING CACTUS! Woohoo

He's taken a couple of my friends up and they enjoyed it but I just have a feeling he would try to scare me and with my luck the outcome could be bad. But yes I would luv to be able to take the controls and fly it as well.

Maybe one day. Cheerful

Here’s a couple of “FUN PILOT STORIES” from my retired Captain buddy.
He once crashed a small plane onto a hillside and walked away, admittedly I do not know all the details as he kinda glossed over it.
But my ALL TIME FAVORITE is when he was early in his flying career and accumulating hours to reach his goal of flying for an Airline which he accomplished and recently was FORCED to retire after 35 yrs kicking and screaming on his way out as HE DID NOT WANT to retire but he aged out.

Btw if you didn’t know him he would gladly tell you he’s “FLAT BROKE and struggling to get by” but that’s a whole other story… Blink

Anyway he was flying shackled prisoners and just for kicks one day he decided to give them a THRILL RIDE and fly UNDER A BRIDGE!!!! Which is a definite FAA violation but hey—he got their blood pumping! Woohoo

He recently told me that one of the prisoners tried for years to report him but I guess my buddy kept dodging that bullet.
Between that and the numerous horrific crashes I’ve seen first hand is why I’m hesitant to Fly with him.

I wish we had an audio portion to this forum, so we could post clips to one another like memes. I just know there would be a ton of:
